Seriously. This is a routine virus, and a routine social exploit. This doesn't even qualify as news that doesn't matter, because then it would have to be news.
You have got to be kidding me. I was going to moderate this as idiocy, but I decided to elaborate with a response instead.
One might be able to reach a person at Charter, but a helpful person? Not on your life. You speak about behemoth corporations, and Charter embodies the worst of corporate bureaucracy. They are total idiots, the left hand doesn't talk to the right hand, and their prices are unreasonable. And yes, I dumped them as soon as I could so I don't have to deal with them any more. But not once did I deal with a helpful person.
And deleting 14,000 email accounts just shows the heights of stupidity this company has achieved.
I see the point. I bought my first CD in over a year, the new one from the Shins. But if I hear a song I like, I check iTunes first, and just buy the song. I've been harping this point with others for a while, but the physical album is essentially dead. It sucks, especially for the small retailers, but people want the quick fix, not a body of work. There are very few albums which people can listen to start to finish.
Just to echo this, PBS has a ton of ads, just in between shows. My kids watch "Sesame Street," and while the ads are mild compared to network TV, they're for McDonalds, Beaches resorts, and other "Dad, can we go there?" places. I'll let the WM Keck foundation go, but the rest are annoying. Thankfully, DVRs can make my kids unaware of said ads.
Even as a libertarian, I agree that this is a better solution. If they changed the size of bills, the whole infrastructure would have to be remade. Giving vision-impaired folks a personal solution, while still costly, would be way smaller than a total re-do of currency.
And apparently you can't read, since he said 99% of representatives, not presidents. In California 2004, 100% were re-elected, at least by party, since districts are so gerrymandered that they're safe for the incumbent party. I don't know if 99% is exactly accurate, but it seems close.
Did you hear about the massive freeway tunnel they were going to build under Los Angeles? It was going to be for carpools only. It was canceled, because they were afraid of "carpool tunnel syndrome."
They are known as the brand Dish Network - the #2 satellite service provider and, because of their in-house development, the #2 seller of DVRs. Their product doesn't have some of the same features as TiVo, but it does the job for my family.

How can there be 80 posts already, and not one "Death of Usenet! Film at 11."
Just have Ray Kurzweil stand guard, shotgun in hand. 10,000 years? No problem!

I'm so glad I was only drinking water while reading this.

Wow. That is quite an eye-opener. My favorite page is "Greenwich Time Debunked," which states:
"Old Hold For New Construction."
Absolutely brilliant.
My daughter Zoë would be pissed.
"Once Bitten...Twice Shy" - A great album and a life-lesson about pyrotechnics and foam.
And apparently you have never driven through a small town with an overzealous police department.
I can start effectively marketing MRML (Mind-Reading Markup Language).

"The Tough Coughs as he Ploughs the Dough."
An obscure Theodore S. Geisel reference. Totally off-topic.

You bay me forced to report it.
You forgot (c) bread machine. However it does make a nice place to set mail.

They don't serve food anymore.
If you weren't an AC, I would.
1. Getting a beer from the fridge.
2. peeing
3. repeat as needed.
Lost. But that's about it.
For you Peter Jennings fans, I'll translate: Lost. But that's aboot it.
Yes, but he didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition.
(sorry)

There's a history lesson for ya'.
