I no Alaska Air is not techinically "national" but they are doing pretty well to. by providing solid service to a limited area with quite a few puddle jumpers (Horizon).
Just out of curiousity, why not RiserFS of XFS for the file system. Are there some gotchas? or was it just not stable at the time. Im just asking because on my next machine I'm going to replace my 10K rpm drive with 4 5400 or 7200 drives (less noise, more storage, less heat.....oh...and cheaper to;->. I'l probably miss my seek time tho.

I have been told by some of the ME's who work on it that its sorta a joke, because the damn thing will only do 100k miles on biodiesel, then it has to run the regular stuff. apparently biodiesel still has some longterm issues it needs to workout.
Maybe he should tell the studios to "fuck-off-and-die" rather than have him do 4 different shows (buffy/angle/ripper/firefly). Networks like to take their good producers and overwork them, until all that they create is bland, and lifles.

I think Those are a brushless DC motor, so theoretically, you could pump approx 1 AssTon (thats ShitTon*2pi) of Tourqe out if you overloaded the motor for a short enough time (most electric Machines have overload ratings fro 1.1 1.2 etc and duration allowed, I just dont know if the tranny could take it;-> They probably doe something like that from the 0-30 MPH section (the slower the electric motor turns, the mor current if its Shunt excited (I belive...the Elec-Machines Proff would kill me if I got this wrong)
and electrolytic cap is a capacitor constructed with an oil as the dialectric, as oppsed to paper, this allows for a much greater range of use. They can be found in your PSU, on your motherboard, and probably on your harddrive. In general Capacitors store charge, however they do much more than that, the can be used with an opamp to make filters, to do intergration/derivation and a multitude of other neat things. Take a circuits class or 4 and you learn some neat stuff
I completly agreed, I started in the beta 4 days and got bretty good. I was usually like 2or3:1 andocasionly 5:1 (kills to death). My friends and I begain calling it crack-strike because of how much we liked it. Then 1.0 came out and I kinda slowed down and ended up quiting. I picked it up again for about a day, and went to all the servers that previously liked (hostage-down!!) and found that I was getting my ass handed to me every round. All the players that I was beating, continued to play and improve. So I went to another sever, somthing I didnt know. All Noobz, and after beating them handly (almost 10:1 at one point). I go kicked for "cheating". I realized that the CS was two groups now, caffine-drinking CS-playing obsesive players that were increadable, and loosers that really didnt like to loose, or actually play. So I quit...all the better for my grades.
Fully agreed, in addition I think people should note that good tube pre-amp setups have more than one tube element per channel, and multple stages and great deal of other design elements. basicaly, this tube is in the setup just to give the nice even order harmonics that people like to hear. This is in addition to the Odd order harmonics that the other transistors are creating. and to top it off, who would consider any onboard sound chip to be Hi-Fi. when your signal sucks, your sound sucks, there is no really good way to fix that. Get a nice sound card and it will sound much better than this setup
Well in a car your ears are usually much closer to one of the two front speakers, therefore "in phase" is relative. For it to sound good to you you might actually be wiring the speakers up out of phase with each other, this is due to the time delay between the two speakers. (ie the left speaker is 3 foot from your ear, while the right speaker is 6 or more feet away). by changing the polarity you might cause the waves to be "in-phase" with each other when they reach your ear. To fix this poroperly, you need a better delay mechanism, found in some high end crosovers. In a house, this has a tendancy to be much less of an issue.
Phase shift can be a problem with crosovers, as that all networks create some sort of phase shift that might have to be compensated for. The Problem in cars arises from having a tweeter mounted significantly closer to your ear than the woofer (like having a woofer in the door, but the tweeter up on the dash) This is somtimes called intermodulation distortion I belive.
the advantage is the cheapies and expensive...all get the data there the same. Btw....coaxial gives you a better connection. less jitter (bits/clock dont match up for a cylce). however I have read the people like jitter in there setereo (when compared to a jitter free system)
Um...I hate to break it to you but no university makes money on teaching students. Most of the cost is covered by Fedral/State funding and Research. Or if your a Private school, just research. At the average public school your tution pays abot 15%-25% of your education, and at private, a little higer (because its like 30 grand a year). and yes your tenure is based on Profitability....Its called "Publish or Perish". Thats the difference btween Associate Professors(take on the majority of the class load, with a little research) and Professors (who teach maybe 1 class a year, but bring in fat dough with research grants and private donations) Btw.....if anybepartment gets a research grant. about 50% of it is taken for administrative cost, by the University.
get a lawyer to right a snotty letter to them, saying you will pursue this both in court(lawsuits) and if our are really pissed and willing to fling mud; out of court(call the local news, they might be intrested in the Bad Big Guy screws innoccent victim). With the lawyer you will probably end up paying him the 800 bucks, but at least US bank woudnt be screwing you. oh..and close your account, and see if any family/friends will do the same...and mention your incident.

Man....My wife has taken several health classes, and the Atkins diet has come up in several of them. Its a Diet that has been around since the 70's. And most doctors/researchs/nutritionists agree that it is a bad thing. Check out Whatsomepeople say. Basically it comes down to a starvation diet...you eat food, but not proper food. Just go to Rawanda for a couple of months.
This is somthing that is kind of a misnomer, from what I have been told (by my wife, who learned this in her toxicology/health classes) that to fully cook pork products so that your chance of getting trichinosis, would make the food inedible(like eating bark it would be so dry). cooking to 160 F decreases your chances of getting infected by like 5%. Basicaly it comes down to the controll methods used by farms these days a quite stringent.
