Not the only reason, of course.

Why not simply order then to undergo physical training until they are no longer obese? Most of them would thank you for it.

(Yes, I know obesity is not that simple, but surely it could be one part of the solution.)

That attitude is the single biggest reason there are terrorists.

In Canada no-one is using the word 'terrorism' (except the usual suspects who would have pulled out the terrorism card no matter what). We honour a soldier who died in the line of duty, but this is a drug use issue, not a security issue.

Politicians who try to exploit fear will likely reveal themselves, and themselves alone, to be weak-minded cowards.

It's *entirely* a slap on the wrist.

Their crime was being so over the top that they would inevitably bring scrutiny on the cartel as a whole, forcing the government to make a credible response, and no-one wants that. (Well, no-one except those actually working for their income.)

  17. Google is not Google on Assange: Google Is Not What It Seems · · Score: 2

Maybe someone needs to explain to Assange that Google is a large, for-profit US corporation with access to huge amounts of data. Most people can figure out the rest of it from there.

Seriously, I tried reading the article (but I couldn't finish it) and I don't know what Assange thinks Google is, unless he's been deceived by the way the US government and the private sector pretend to be adversaries.
