Greenhouse gases aren't simply heating the atmosphere, they reflect infrared radiation, including anything radiating from the surface of the ocean. The heat isn't going anywhere, regardless of where it started.
The idea behind positive thinking was never to simply visualize the positive goal, it was to envision the challenges and think through overcoming the challenges.
Ignoring the challenges is an absence of thinking.
In Canada no-one is using the word 'terrorism' (except the usual suspects who would have pulled out the terrorism card no matter what). We honour a soldier who died in the line of duty, but this is a drug use issue, not a security issue.
Politicians who try to exploit fear will likely reveal themselves, and themselves alone, to be weak-minded cowards.
Their crime was being so over the top that they would inevitably bring scrutiny on the cartel as a whole, forcing the government to make a credible response, and no-one wants that. (Well, no-one except those actually working for their income.)
Maybe someone needs to explain to Assange that Google is a large, for-profit US corporation with access to huge amounts of data. Most people can figure out the rest of it from there.
Seriously, I tried reading the article (but I couldn't finish it) and I don't know what Assange thinks Google is, unless he's been deceived by the way the US government and the private sector pretend to be adversaries.
When they say "economy", do they mean the actual economy, the combined production of wealth in a society, or 'the economy', the euphemism for the bank accounts of the wealthy?
Women don't want to code the same way men do. That's a reality borne out by statistics.
We don't know why.
Maybe they are discouraged by systemic factors, maybe not. That is a good reason to find out why. It doesn't tell us yet whether there is a problem to fix.
You could create some kind of conditional enlistment, it would be nearly the same thing.
That attitude is the single biggest reason there are terrorists.
Not the only reason, of course.
"Smell" is just a sensationalized way of saying chemical composition.
It's not like the human smell faculty would work in a vacuum.
Feature, not a bug.
Just like everything about e-"voting".
Why not simply order then to undergo physical training until they are no longer obese? Most of them would thank you for it.
(Yes, I know obesity is not that simple, but surely it could be one part of the solution.)
Greenhouse gases aren't simply heating the atmosphere, they reflect infrared radiation, including anything radiating from the surface of the ocean. The heat isn't going anywhere, regardless of where it started.
So, it's as real as any other religion.
The US government never owned the entire world in the first place.
That attitude is the single biggest reason there are terrorists.
As long as they're willing to prove they really know about the Jedi identity.
By telling us what they did to piss off the Sith.
The difference is that that "Jedi" was entirely fictional.
Oh, wait,....
The idea behind positive thinking was never to simply visualize the positive goal, it was to envision the challenges and think through overcoming the challenges.

An unarmed soldier on ceremonial duty is military but a non-combatant.
So, exactly the same as Microsoft, Oracle, etc.
We're talking about some pretty crazy, messed up people.
With a mental condition. And a crack addiction.
That's unfair - only some of our politicians have crack addictions.

Politicians who try to exploit fear will likely reveal themselves, and themselves alone, to be weak-minded cowards.
So, even that is a slap on the wrist.
It's *entirely* a slap on the wrist.

An "average Ob/Gyn" is a fully qualified and licensed medical doctor and far better informed about Ebola than 99% of SlashDot users.
When they say "economy", do they mean the actual economy, the combined production of wealth in a society, or 'the economy', the euphemism for the bank accounts of the wealthy?
(It's a rhetorical question.)
Fictitious and actual terrorism are not mutually exclusive.

When women want to go into tech and can't, we have a problem. When women don't want to go into tech...
(I don't have a comment, I just thought that bore repeating.)
Now get it to the right place.
Perhaps they think 11-year-old kids can raise their standards.
Just kidding - the BBC is pretty close to the top of English language programming. Which doesn't actually say very much.
But which is better from 100 000 km away in poor lighting?
