    Huh? There are no living things on Earth that we are aware of that can exist in a living state without water. I'm not sure what you mean by 'think small', as even virii (who's life status is arguable) are inert bits of junk without water.

    Funny, it doesn't say anything about 'illegal', it just says 'ex post facto Law'. It's like say, being convicted on a possession of marijuana charge, and then two weeks later they make marijuana legal. You don't get to go free because it's legal now; it wasn't legal when you committed the act.

    Part of the reason that lobbyists have so much power is that ordinary people don't inundate their reps with opinions and facts the way that special interests do.

    Replace 'opinions and facts' with 'money' and you're getting closer to reality.

    Wickard v. Filburn can not be justified in any context. It gave the Union government power to tell a man he was not allowed to grow food for his OWN consumption. That is not what the Supreme Law says, nor the original intent of the authors. ----- Intrastate commerce is the purview of the Member State - alone. In fact: Eating your own food isn't even commerce. Period.

    Of course it can, with enough sophistry. Obviously if he's growing his own food, he's not buying food. If he's not buying food, he's not spending his money into the interstate food trade, thus impacting interstate trade. See? Easy.

    Distilled water is rather aggressive when it comes to dissolving minerals. Since it doesn't have any dissolved in it when you imbibe it, it just takes them from your body. It's basically an exaggeration of the difference between drinking water and isotonic beverages when you're exercising.
