Only if you are a cheap bastard and aren't concerned with quality. Obviously, this poster doesn't have a HDTV. Can you say progressive scan? not for $49.
"could set up an ATM network, and use PVC's to isolate the data, it could work"
How in the hell could a PVC work on power lines? PVC information has to be read by by, say an ATM edge switch, and sent in the right direction. What you are suggesting would require some sort of routing equipment on every power pole. Not very cost effective now is it?
90% of all CDR made by teenagers (mainly porn, divx and warez stuff)
Really? Where did that number come from? I would think that 90% of CDR's were made by people burning CDA. Remember, only about 5% of computer users are geeks, and not even all of them know what "divx" or "warez" is. (IMHO)
It seems nobody knows (I didn't read all the comments, but nobody replied to yours..)
It says the drive is available in Japan in July, meaning that we can see it here in the states....next year? I'd happily pay $200-$300 for this drive. Its a very cool breakthrough. I don't think that regular cd-rw hardware can accomplish this... but I could be wrong. I know there's probably people working on a hack right now:)
No, let them sue you, then win. Then, you sue microsoft. Really. You used their software. Frontpage didn't tell you that forms were copyrighted. If it had, you wouldn't have used them! (right?) :)
Oh boy.. IDE is faster? Ha! I just got my dream HD a few months ago (the seagate cheetah x15), and it is sooo much faster. 3.9ms seek time - its the fastest drive around. Gotta love the 15K RPM. I also have a pretty high performance ide drive (7200 RPM), which has an average 9ms seek time. That's a huge difference! And I do notice the difference. Games load faster than anyone else at LAN parties, and when I'm running photoshop, VS.NET, and outlook at the same time, there is NEVER any pausing or waiting. Aeverything just pops up. That definately wouldn't happen with my old IDE drive.
I live in Portland, OR. Everyone here knows that they are talking about Oregon! Matt Groening was from portland, and most of the characters are named after portland streets. Actually, Groening lived on evergreen terrace in real life. :)
or better yet, a device that recognizes when the wife is having "that time of the month" and locks her out. Algorithm: hormonal imbalance sensed, door gets locked:)
Hmmm. The only thing they need to prove is that the email didn't bounce. Even then, they might get away with it. Serving papers is a joke - if they can't find you, it doesn't matter. (in most states) They just leave it at last known address, and ta-da, you have been served! Email would be the same way, or at least one could argue in court that it is the same. SO really, if it bounces, they still tried to deliver it to the last known address....maybe all they need to do is prove that the delivery attempt was made. Scary.
No way. They couldn't do that! I think that there would be thousands of warez linux distros with that crap taken out. That's the beauty of intelligence. We wouldn't have to settle for whatever crap they think should be included.
I mean, how many of you have that cool version of XP which requires no product activation? I do. That was "supposed" to be failsafe.:-)
Hmm....I have at&t - and my co-workers do tech support for them. So, with that said: 1. They block no ports. 2. If you know someone who does their tech support, you can get your cable uncapped. I currently have 3meg down and 512 up - for $30/month:-)
Me too: the epox board. I have the raid model, and it has been wonderful - until I installed XP. Crazy errors, blue screens. I tried everything I could think of (replacing mobo, HD, etc) but it still wouldn't work. I ended up having to disable the onboard RAID, and it has been super stable ever since. Go figure. If I wasn't using a SCSI controller, I'd be kinda pissed. I wrote epox and asked about this "known issue" and they decided not to respond.
Equality of all humans means jack shit to you, does it?
Yes. Darwinism doesn't allow for everyone to be equal.
By the way I am also college educated. I just had bad luck.
Dude - you make your own "luck" as you call it. Why were you laid off? Hmm.. Lack of motivation leads people to working min. wage....especially if you have a degree. Lack of drive. Lack of skills. Lack of ambition. And...if you work 55 hours - you make $20,2020 per year, not $10,000. Maybe your math skills have someting to do with your lack of employment opprotunities?
Ok, that was very well put. Thank you. A "learning wage"....excellent.
If I had any mod points left, I'd give ya an "insightful", even though it wayyy fucking Offtopic.:-)
If we didn't have welfare, we might not be in a recession right now.
Oh, and that was a nice economical analysis from the burger flipper below. LOL Min. wage should NOT be livable, then it would force people to learn to do SOMETHING.:-)

yes, the signal will be fine... but the speed will suck.

Genius, pure genius! Maybe that contributed to him describing himself as "big enough to create my own ozone layer."
