"A suspension doesn't mean stopped and animation doesn't mean non-motion."
What kind of bunk is this? If suspended meant stopped (it does; with the caveat that it can start again), and animation meant 'non-motion', suspended animation would mean "stopped non-motion". Are you claiming that the parent thought suspended animation was 'stopped non-motion'? Wtf, double negative batman.
Suspend (v.): To cause to stop for a period; interrupt: suspended the trial.
Will Wright is seen as the driving force behind all of the sim games; Romero isn't seen as the driving force behind any of the three games you named, but he *was* the driving force behind Daikatana. Simple enough?
"Up to date Graphics aren't going to make a game last forever. People will get bored of the storyline and same characters over and over."
That's not what it's about. It isn't about you playing the game over and over, it is about new audiences, way down the road, being able to experience the game.
Starcraft was in a lot of ways a sequel to Warcraft. I'd like a better example (although unlike the parent I'm definitely not claiming there isn't one).
If I go to walmart and buy a bunch of posters I can rip them in half and sell the halves. I'm not saying the original artists intentionally wanted their work sold in halves and that this is their vision; and neither are the people selling the modified dvds.
What you failed to mention was that on the 10 gig drives 2 gigs were locked for no other reason than to avoid backlash from those who bought earlier systems.
'The entire point of Copyright is that the artists are compensated for their works.' Read the constitution. It says no such thing. If all copyright did was make it illegal to do this kind of thing it would still fall within 'promoting the progress of the blah blah blah' as long as it encouraged content providers to make their works.
"What do they have to lose by letting people use it?" Flexibility? Let's say someone starts making a device based on the preliminary format. Then the makers of the format discover a flaw and take a long time reengineering the system; in the mean time, everyone starts making devices based on the preliminary format because it is taking so long. Now the developers hands are tied and they have to decide between fixing the problems and alienating thousands of users, or just leaving them in place.
When studying introverts amongst young children it has been found that many times children only show aspects of introversion in situations when a subject isn't one of their interests etc.. You don't act the same in all situations.
This wouldn't have made it to Slashdot a few years ago. They are putting crap like this up now to try and compete with the volume of Digg. Unfortunately with a strategy like this I think we are gonna wind up with all of the worst parts of Digg and none of the best parts of Slashdot (if Slashdot ever adopts a maximum depth of 2 for threads I swear to God I will never return =) ).
Gotta wonder if intel can legitimately deliver at this price or if they are going with loss leader tactics to try and regain marketshare.

But then the corporation can't study them for use in war.
If we spent the 9 billion putting up guard rails around roads with drop-offs that don't have them we would save thousands more lives.
I can't wait for the day morons like you learn about ending sentences with some sort of valid punctuation.

Firefox users tend to be more technical and thus use the internet more. So even if firefox only has x marketshare, firefox is used for more visits.
Kill the orcs!

But then how can they copy and paste all those other people's code?

If I buy a painting from a painter and spray paint a smiley face on it no one can stop me. Wtf is with this ruling?

You could almost just buy another HDTV for that price.
This is on their own money, not the companies.
Imports/exports of cheese in every country is public knowledge anyway.

Did you read my post? Solar system is 'our solar system' implicitly. That is what the sol in solar means.

"...doesn't even require me to submit drafts to him,..."
If only I could make my change in red.
Being that Sol refers specifically to our sun, what other 'solar system' are you talking about?
What's wrong with studying the moon's orbit?
