The poster indicated that this article was blocked by websense. Maddox indicates that his page is blocked by websense. The poster presumably is on a connection using websense. You linked him to Maddox's page. With these facts in mind let me answer for him, "No, I haven't read Maddox's websense fiasco." (BTW, I know perfectly well that he most likely has other means of connecting to the internet.)

Congratulations! You just ignored the whole point of my post: laws are not necessarily just and should not necessarily be followed. If you took the time to read my post I said that I didn't agree with the parent (i.e. I wasn't saying that breaking copyright laws has anywhere near the level of validity of breaking slavery laws) but was just pointing out that the poster I was responding to was taking the dangerous stance of The Law Is Always Right. The law isn't always right and it has been shown countless times in history. The poster I was responding to essentially argued that because it was illegal, it was bad; a more appropriate argument would have been that this is illegal because it's bad.

Bush earlier wanted to amend the constitution to not allow states to have their own choice as to what constitutes a civil union. Now he is saying quite clearly that he believes marriage is between a man and a woman but the actual legal definition should be left up to the states. It is a change of position. Is it a change in the way he personally feels about gay marraige? No. Is it a change of his political position on state's rights? Yes. So, yes it is actually quite the flip flop. Quite the meticulously planned out flip flop as the whole constitution ammendment was absolutely insane and just a means of getting press attention (which this change in policy will also get). This is his planned out way, planned out ever since he proposed the ammendment, of showing the people that he can admit to a mistake and try to correct it.
