Pardon my trollish-perceived comments but in what way does this leapfrog Apple?
You're talking featuritus here. X component has N more score points but in what way did that phone make it easier for you to work and integrate, communicate, expand, play, work, etc?
Where technology becomes more significant than raw numbers, and leapfrogs another technology, is when said technology (/device/process/etc) actually provides a useful step forward, such as for example, visual voice mail versus phone pad menu maze. Or when a device is smart enough to adapt to it's surrounding to provide solutions based on your location (help line, tourist info, local shops). This has more value than N more megapixels (without lens to really make it useful).
HTC (or other ones so far) have yet to "leapfrog" that. They merely played the "Me Too" game, and added marketing numbers around it (Megapixels, Ghz etc).
That's what I'm waiting for Android to do (or heck, why not, WebOS): leapfrog Apple and bring us that one "Woah" that that makes you realize "Damnit, THAT's what I need".
They assume the 5-foot wide riser is a 5-foot wide TUBE which it isn't. It's a 5-foot wide structure of tubes and not the entire surface is spewing out oil. There are drill and service tubes in there.
With 300+ Linux distributions, ReactOS is just one more dead OSes.
(oh noes! cue-in the linux fanbois who'll troll-label this comment!)
The sad reality is that everyone little group have their own agendas and that causes a severe dilution of available talents for driving such a huge undertakings, forward.
Linus having kept a tight grip on kernel development is probably what saves Linux. But IMHO, there are far too many sub-specialized distributions. Imagine if all that talent could be focused in only 3 areas: embedded, server, desktop. the OS would have a much better change to reach mainstream.
To this day I'm convinced that if MS would ditch their kernel and slap their OS on top of the Linux/kernel, much like Apple sat it's OS on BSD/Mach, it would have a better chance to finally shut Apple up.
Expectations were high for the iPhone and yet Apple surpassed all the wildest predictions.
Expectations are even higher with the slate. but competition is trying hard to diminish any possible announcement (like the no-show of Balmer at CES) pointing to the competition not being ready whatsoever.
As for Android catching up, read up on developer's issues with the Android platform. Google's failure to properly guide the platform has created a slew of inoperable devices having their own software layers on top, and hardware specs that are so far off to each other that developers are having a hard time coping with hardware difference.
Their new phone might help, but Google managed to screw up their own platform to day, further delaying any viable competition for Apple.
So, instead of conjecturing, let's just see what Apple has to announce at the end of the month. It could very well be the next iPhone success story.
I wonder if it's better netiquette to just wait for another news outlet to copy the previous one?
Anyhow. If no one tells them their web site so much dilutes their content with adds that it just looks like a year-end Sears catalog, they're not going to tone down.
That's completely retarded. DRM is out of the picture on iTunes store and if you insist on purchasing there, nothing keeps you from syncing your music library to whatever device you have.
There was no requirement for Palm to highjack Apple's ID just so that they can benefit from cheap engineering. RIM made the right decision and that is to not rely on software they dont control for their syncing.
What Palm did is sell a device to their customers and provided no guarantee as to the usability of the product, because they hack another company's software solution.
Goatse is not a black hole but a brown dwarf.

Then, I will consider it leapfrogged.
Sorry... I missed when HTC leapfrogged Apple the first time around... I dont keep current. Mind refreshing my memory?
That liver he got has some nasty bile.
Mach 6. 200 seconds. Makes a long walk home.
The mud or junk will not be inserted through the riser pipe.
There are access pipes on the BOP itself for this kind of stuff.
The mud or junk will therefore be inserted BEFORE the riser pipe.
Blocking the riser would be useless given it's bent, cracked at the BOP and could potentially rip off due to the blockage.
I'm with you on this.

But they shoot up 100 tons of plankton per hour to their death.
They obviously use velcro shoes.
It's actually called Mac OS X. Improve your documentation skills before you start slating others for theirs.
Many more open-source Vistas came before it.

Might as well close Slashdot.
Because it's been shown in the past that the airframe was a design failure and they had to patch it up and change the design.
I too have very little confidence in it. Until it's done with testing and proves changes are adequate.
No need to be hostile. He's voicing an opinion.
This is precisely why Apple filed for a patent on this recently.
It's a way for them to block potential ad revenues from Android, protecting the high price of their iPhone.

Which is why I politely emailed them about it.
Correction: I actually run with pop-up blockers and flash block but do get regular adds.
No really. That site is an eye sore, even with addblock and flashblock. I opted not to read at all.
I doubt Palm can do squat on this issue. They violated their USB license by using another vendor ID.
They might actually have to pay a penalty on that.
And because they went beyond their USB manufacturer agreement, they don't have a case in court.

5. Profit!
I see now.
If you post on slashdot a question on the best way to deploy lots of Macs, all you'll get is trollish comments from pre-pubs.
Really. It's the car equivalent on asking how to adjust the stock Caliber SRT4 wastegates on a Honda Civic SI site.
For real answers, check out System X. The hardware FAQ and history links will provide lots of useful info.
Next we'll have the kiddie ring tones and the nerdy Phytonesque "Run Away!!! Run Away!!!".
Greatâ¦
No amount of ointment in the world would make her my wish.
