    As far as I am aware, it's not about reaching new markets as much as it is about bolstering current opinions on the company and its products. There's a whirlwind of criticism flying around about Vista right now, though I am sure you are aware of that.

    Not only adding to the cost of business, but if people don't have to pay the sales tax at the time of purchase it looks "cheaper" than buying it locally. Add in S&H and Tax and the cheaper prices may not be so cheap when compared to the local stores.

    Use tax is usually applied to the difference between the sales tax paid at point of purchase and the sales tax you would have paid had you bought it locally. So, if you pay 0% sales tax online the use tax would be your localities sales tax amount, 7% in my case in Indiana (yeah, WTF, 7%!). If I pay 6% in a neighbouring state then I'd still owe the 1% difference locally.

    When you were finally able to click the close button, (it took 15 seconds for the ad to load for me), did it then redirect you to the same page you were already on?

    In my case it did and it wasn't loading the style sheet data the second time the browser loaded the page.

    What a messed up site and article.

    How do you prove that the people who downloaded whatever they downloaded would have paid for it if that was the only way they could get it?

    Just because someone downloads something for "free" does not mean that they would have purchased that product if the only way to obtain it was from a store.

    You're an idiot. There is NO reason whatsoever to type in "rm -rf " on a first try at deleting. Especially if you just created the file. The ONLY reason to type in the -rf flags is because you are stupid.

    You only saw scrolling text if you weren't logged in as root.
