Having just spoken with my brother, who *IS* a 747 pilot, he says that in the simplest case of a visual approach, the only thing you couldn't know intuitively would be airspeed. Everything else you could know just by looking out the window.
He said that nowadays, the computers generally hide all the 'system status' type info, and only shows it when somthing goes wrong.
This is just the equivalent to 'checking into Betty Ford' for those users still addicted to MS Cocai^H^H^H^H^HOffice etc. No need to force them to go cold turkey.
Once they are straight, they can go off the VMWare medication.
Actually, I was more referring to the fact that it is more like a big country town than a city. I mean, it must be the last place in the industrialised world to not have the shops open on sunday.
Hmmmm. Double click on a mail message no longer opens the message in a separate window right click - "open message in new window" no longer opens the message in a separate window
Don't tell me to get another mail client - Netscape has done the job for me so far.
If they claim to 'own' the gene, or to have 'invented' the gene, then they must be responsible for its effects. Every woman who has developed cancer because of this gene should be able to sue the company.

think of anti-noise and anti-IR technology developed for military aviation - most attack helicopters now-a-days are virtually silent (until its right on top of you) and have very low IR signatures (to avoid Stingers)
Are you exactly the same as your siblings? No, because you are the product of random mutations in your parents zygotes, which combined to produce you, a unique individual. Lather, rinse, repeat, over the course of the next million years. Will your decendants be exactly the same as you? Will they be taller, smarter, thinner? Short, fat and uglier? Who knows? Maybe only those with mutated immune systems, with built in immunities to HIV, malaria, small pox, ebola and carcinogens will be here to see it.
just for starters.....(I know some have already been mentioned)
Lawrence of Arabia 40,000 Horsemen Saving Private Ryan Bladerunner Alien Midway Tora! Tora! Tora! LeMans Bullitt Blues Brothers (for the chase) Duel Akira Flesh For Frankenstein (3D) Star Wars Ep IV (Opening scene and Death Star trench scenes would be the best) Kagemusha The Magnificent Seven Psycho The Birds Zulu
All I want right now is something that will maintain a safe distance from the car in front when I am on cruise control on the freeway. I dont mind steering and changing lanes, but I hate having to brake, which disengages the c/c, and then resume, or reset the c/c.
So if I am approaching a slower vehicle in front of me, the cruise control will automatically adjust to slow down to maintain distance, but will also automatically accelerate if the space ahead clears, back to the original speed setting.
Why don't they just go their newsagent?

My son is building one of these. He gets the parts from a magazine subscription. Light following/repulsion, sonar detection, line following. And seems to go pretty fast to boot.

A circle is just a polygon with an infinite number of corners.

So you are saying I could just add some to the same bags as the body parts?
I always thought there was something fundamentally wrong with the universe.
Boy, you really missed that one, didn't you?
Never put of until tomorrow what you can put off until the day after.

I want to see them make one that can go as fast as a Zoid.
