Or, you could just post all their company email adresses to other spamlists, I'm sure they would be pleased to get some nice deal from other nice people like themselves.
I for one wouldn't be all to afraid that Microsoft will ruin Unix totally, afterall, where would they steal^H^H^H^H^H get their code from in the future?
They are going to sting it, but not ruin it, that would be bad for business.
Coders (including myself) have been spoiled by their assumption of freedom to use others' work. No other field of intellectual creativity I know of allows this.
You have never listend to anything made by Puff Daddy, have you?!?
And of course I run Windows. Because my neighbours do.. although at the rate I'm being asked to fix peoples computers, its probably worth the extra 1000$ for me to *not* have Windows and be able to feign ignorance when begged for help.
Now, thats the REAL problem with our line of work! Nobody will pay you one cent for you solving their problems with their computers, but if you were a carpenter they would pay you to put up a roof in your spare time.
I guess this is mainly because of geeks with poor social skills, using their tech knowledge to trade with social acceptence.
I know it's not all about the money, but still, don't you feel just a little bit buttf*cked when spending an entire evening fixing your neighbours computer only reciving a soda and perhaps a meal, all the while knowing that he/she will fuck it up in a week, and you could have been paid good old cool cash if you were a mechanic/carpenter fixing his/her car/roof?!?
The reason they were ill-fated, was because of the native americans being lactose intollerant, where as scandinavians aren't.
New studies show this to be the most obvious reason for the hostilities between the Viking settlers and the natives. The natives were offered milk as a gift, and when they later got ill, they thought that they were poisoned.
There was supposed to be a greater settlement at the site of New York, but unfortunately the evidence is long gone.
Cyrix was utter crap, I was the sad owner of a motherboard with a Cyrix 486DLC 40MHz processor, and it couldn't run the 4gw dos extender at all, so I couldn't play Doom, Heretic, Hexen etc. etc.
I live in a small country in Europe, where SPAM is illegal, so I don't get anything from local companies, instead I get more than 20 a day from the US.:-(
Is this law going to help non US citizens getting US SPAM, or is that part of your export quota?
DON'T buy Xerox, unless you want to write your own driver. Xerox hardware is prob. ok, I wouldn't know because each time i've encountered them, their drivers sucked so much that we had to deliver it back, or get a huge discount when their own technicians gave up, and use it for simple photocopying, in case of a photocopier/printer.
They are actually doing a pretty SANE thing, namely firing people mostly from marketing and administration, instead of like almost every other company, firing the developers/technicians first.
Firing the people that do the actual work first, is like pissing in your pants to keep warm.
You never attended Microsoft TechEd, have you?

The total amount of intelligence in the universe is constant, I thought you knew that...

You needed 32-bit so you could get the wonders of virtual memory.
Imagine swapping out your least used programs in memory, what wonderfull "speed" enhancements!
Designing an OS to only run programs in memory is insane and obsolete! It would run far to fast for the average user....

This sounds like SOAP to me...

I just have to comment this, WarCraft I was a much better game strategy wise than II or III.
I think game developers today only care about pornfeatures, like shiny gfx and suroundsound, instead of gameplay and AI.

If it's a pre power version, try out the BasiliskII Mac emulator, it will run your old games like a charm.

Then name them terrorists, and it's ok and very American with no trial, to not only destroy their property, but also kill them.

As for lack of knowledge, you surely haven't been working very much with Windows 2000 AD....

Haven't you seen "The gangs of NY"?!?!?

Well, you should move to Russia, they have a lot of nice cities build just like you name it!
Some of us want to live out on the country side, where the densety of stupid people like you are a lot less than the average city.
And for exercise, I personally perfer to chop wood than to put on some spandex and dwelve in my own reflection at a fitness center.

Well, you can easily be in the front using ed to create/edit SVG files. :-)

It's because the matrix is incomplete.
No need to waste computerpower when all most of us normally see is 10%.
