I likd Max Payne 2, it was a fun game and I do like the graphic novel approach but the dark noir dialogue is really pretty cheesy. Good thing they don't take themselves too seriously.
But for an excellent game with a story behind it how about one that begins:
I remember dying. Not how, when or why, but the cold fact alone: dying. I look around, there are dead bodies lying around. But they certainly don't seem to remember much. Come to think of it, the dead are not suppose to remember dying. Death is the ultimate, finale fate. How come, then, that I breath? How come I feel cold, and afraid, and disoriented? And what comes next? Death is supposed to be the end, no one trains you on "what to do" while you're at it. Maybe I should just lay still, maybe...
"Come on chief, get up, hurry!" It's an annoying voice, which startles me. More so, the fact that it comes from a floating, whirling skull doesn't help. "What?" and my own voice seems rasp, and strange to me. "What are you waiting for? get UP! we hafta get outta here!" again, the floating skull urges me to do something the dead are not supposed to do.
I comply, if for nothing else, because it makes as much sense as any other action. The dead, you know, are definitely not supposed to get up. "Boy, they sure tore you up good this time, you look even uglier than before" says the skull. They? this time? Before? Inside of me, ignorance and darkness are no longer fueling fear. There is another sentiment, a not so new one that grows within: rage.
It is right there, right then, in that dark, foul and creepy place, that I make a decision. I will do another thing that the dead are not supposed to: I will fight to remember my life.
do I learn of this software. What an excellent implementation of Catan. MS has some catching up to do. Unfortunately, if they're willing to bully a teenage kid into relinquishing a domain then what chance do these projects have.
When half-life originally came out I tried playing it but my system was too slow which would induce headaches. This past fall I decided to give it a go. I found the graphics looked significantly dated and it still gave me a headache cause now my system was too fast >:(
Manhunt on PC and Xbox next year, along with a new Grand Theft Auto game. The GBA will also get a GTA game. A release date for Duke Nukem Forever (late 2004, early 2005) was mentioned during the investors conference call but of course officially it will still come out "when it's done".
Why would Duracell or Energizer want to put themselves out of business? The business model for batteries is just like light bulbs, razor blades and other disposable items, ie relatively frequent repeat sales.
The TIME article is excellent!! A must read if your considering this surgery. There are certain cases were complications do arise; patients complain of being very sensitive to light and seeing halos. Also in some cases people end up with worse vision than they had. I don't remember the exact statistic but for the most part individuals end up with very close to 20/20 after the surgery. Plan on saving up about $5000 as hardly (if any) insurance companies cover this kind of surgery.

another vote for switching from MT to WordPress.
I like the sub-categories and the admin interface is a whole lot cleaner than MT.

Don't know if this has been released yet. It's been in development for quite a while.
I'm waiting for a Tivo unit with a DVD/R built-in.

I always end up picking it up pointed the wrong way and rewinding when I meant to fast-forward.
you're absolutely correct about that.
less expensive hardware prices.

yes, this new practice is ridiculous. I couldn't even believe when my cousing told me about this.
I mean at least before you could trade books with a friend or use an older edition but this is such a slimeball tactic.

that post sums it up pretty nicely.
Isn't the main thing that's missing from all these homebrew PVRs is the lack of decent channel listings.
that I keep sleeping on it...
truly the hardest part is getting started.
THIS game has a 9.2 rating from IGN.
what do you think?
you left out some main titles:

Oh gross! That fucker should be raped with a lamp.
Anonymous person?? what happened to anonymous COWARDS?
Seems will look "cooler" and more modern than ep4-6 troopers. Even thought they're supposed to be earlier models in the Star Wars universe timeline.

I guess you can kiss OWL goodbye. Seems like MS wants to heavily push COM+. Not a bad move, wonder what the future of VisiBroker will be...
