More that these games are avaialble to younger people wherese the afforementioned are not.
Also youngesters are now firast exposed to games though phones and so get indoctrinated by the free shit.
Normal people know better than the play them.
Though of course this is overblown. The potential spending of pointless money is the problem here. I used to play say the bard's tale untill 3am as a kid. Not all the time but sometimes. I did fine, though I am a natural late person and a late riser. of course school's these days start far too early for people like me, so it becomes more of an issue because of that too.
I feel it is not that anything is more addictive than anything else. Just some people are more perceptable to be addicted to certain things. Unbfortunatly again with it being targeted to the young, they are too young to know their weaknesses and some just get lost in it.
TLDR? FTP games with "purchases" should be over 18 only (at least we can blame the parents then).
Windows 10 gets very upset, often to the level of a new install being easier than fixing if it cannot get updates.
This is a big issue becasue most people today have laptops (or tablets etc...).
As such they are not left on at all times and do not update.
I have had to fix many a machine with this issue (It also happens if your machine will not take an update regardlessof being left on, but being mostly off at night is the main problem).
I am basically saying the update method is broken for the average person. It could be fixed by defaulting to a low power/updates only shutdown by default rather than sleep mode. Not that a lot of people would not turn it off anyway.
> And now that I'm done picking on your for your view of the past, I'm going to pick on you for your view of the present. WTF do you need 2GB of memory for in an appliance!
Becuase it runs android would be a good start. In fact I would say 4GB minimum for sane android use these days.
There should have been no need to get a restraining order to remvoe the profiles. (why yes I did read (scan) the article).
Yes grinder should do more, but only on the logical side. Steps says like.
1. User reports abuse of him on a profile he did not set up. 2. User p[rooves they are who they say they are (photo id and webcam you know like many sites ask for). 3. They either delete the profile or reset the password and let the real user do it. 4. They make sure no accounts pertaining to this person can be set up without authority from the real user.
Yes some of these will require extra effort but it is something that needs to be done to stop wasting police and court times with things that should be resolvable without their need.
Yes for continued action maybe a restraining order on the actual creator of these polive profiles is a good idea. However if setting the profiles was slightly harder then many would not bother. Yes the idiot is wholely responsible for the harasement, but Grindr is also criminal in action by allowing it to go on multiple times and requireing more than simple proof you are who you are to take it down and stop it happening again.
Hiding behind a law to stop you doing simple things is disgusting. But we get back to the old palce of apparently needing special laws for the internet. No we do not. Being on the internet does not make something new. And this was not the indented outcome of the law anyway. Just argued by corrupt lawers becuase the internet is confusing to us and let's hold it up on a pedastel as something different so we can make money a second time.
Tehre is no side. I have never seen an escalator wide enough. I hold both rails. Fuck you and stop being a tard.
No I am not an amerifat. Suprised you can even get half of one of those on.
The only exception is flat ones. But they are meant to improve speed not lazyness. Up and down is just asking for trouble. Anyone moving on those should be tripped into the abyss.
No game controller has succcessfully replaced a good keyboard (& mouse) so why would it in any other area;-)
Is anyone else with me that when using a "set top box", or whatever with an on screen keyboard and it pops up in a-z format just considers binning the thing as it is going to take 10 times as long to input anything into it?
But if you put a picture into peoples' heads, you give them an immediate handhold on the problem. It's not difficult for a mathematically fluent person to make his own handhold, but it is a stumbling block for a lot of people.
Or in other words the usual people are all different and what one see/finds easy is not going to be what the next does. Apply this to everything and anything you won't go wrong!
If fact I find the opposite happens to me in this situation. Present some numbers to me and ask a question and I'm like fine. Tart it up with extra nonsence to help people form a picture (I'm looking at you stupid maths questions at school!) and I just stare blankly into the distance. I can usualy work it out (though I do find sometime removing the maths introduces ambiguity that other people do not see) but it takes me longer than if it were not there and longer than people that like it in that format.
To be fair when the GTA 3 trilogy was around they never thought they would be releasing it digitally years later. And of course the disk copies still have it all (though need a few (third party) patches to work right).
Should this occur with 4 or 5 then they do have something to answer for. They should have seen the need to purchase rights in perpetuum for them.
Did they? Let's see.
I'm sure if the rights holders were realistic in the new fees they wanted they would still be there. Just look at many dvd/bluray etc releases of your favourite TV programmes as another example where changes have been made. Even sometimes only in some regions!
Bad managers do. (The fact they have no purpose might become obvious).
My company change 2 years ago and embraced modern working fully and told all the managers if they refused a home working request it better have a damn good reason. They resisted at first but were trained up. I'm sure the bad ones moved elsewhere.
But you probably live in the land of bad managers;-)
The sort of people that do not know how to properly delete files (really a once over zeroing is fine, or choose your favourite number!).
I am more worried about the sort of people that buy these second hand cards to trust their data to!
I have many old cards. I should bin them but I like to hoard! They are all far too small anyway (16gb is the minimum these days, 64gb is usual, your view may differ!) I tend to buy above the burger price but below the point where the price gets silly.
So your excuse is, people are lazy, let them be so?
How about the ridiculous penaltys for public nudity are removed and put onto people who don't recycle peroperly. At least they are more deserving of it.
They should also switch to a modern codec and kill of all existing DAB sets, and also insist that all dab stations are stereo and better quality than FM.
But none of these things are likely to happen. DAB will never become mainstream, we will all be streaming instead. Maybe they can free up the DAB bandwidth as well.
Not sure I read right but you say harcore gamers buy loot boxes and casual don't?
I think you got that the wrong way round.
A certain MMO went free to play and introsuced loot boxes. The dumb casual's don't realise they have ruined the game mechanics (was not designed as FTP from the start), but the company makes more off then then they would have had if they subscribed.
$10 a month sounds like a chore to these fools but spending $100 when they want to is nothing. Idiots.

You appear to spell VLC in a funny way.

The bots reply ;-)

Have you not updated in like 15 years?
I have not updated in "forever" and I have 16GB.
I think "forever" is probably around 5 years now.
Companies don't.
Bad managers do. (The fact they have no purpose might become obvious).

> Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had to be released under the name Teenage Mutant "Hero" turtles in the UK because "Ninja"
I know you might have a clue maybe but most people wil limagine you refer to the recent films with that.
They refer to the 87-96 series.
You know near 30 year old news.
> 17,000 of the most popular apps
"popular" more like.
Apps fucking idiots install also a possiblity.
This is what people asked for anyway. With free apps they get what they pay for.
So your excuse is, people are lazy, let them be so?
How about the ridiculous penaltys for public nudity are removed and put onto people who don't recycle peroperly. At least they are more deserving of it.
> The management only want a single number to understand things
I present my new survey scoring.
Rate [some bollocks] on a scale of 0 to 1.
Job done.
Free form comments?
You might have to pay someone to interpret that shit!
And the establishment don't care if it's at fault. It want to blame someone.
It's kinds of if they want to blame workers who are easy to replace rather than address any problems they have.
Management knows these surveys are balls. They just don't care.
Too right!
Only Atari V1 and V2 count! V3 and V4 have done nothing of merit.
So what you are saying is the caller and the police should be put into the thunderdome?
So a silly box in a silly case with nothing but fake promises.
I'm sure it will last ;-)
If only these devices had a button to stop them paying attention.
Oh wait.
They should also switch to a modern codec and kill of all existing DAB sets, and also insist that all dab stations are stereo and better quality than FM.

This half that want to abuse you? Very good! In fact 100% better.
