If enough people simply refuse to fly, the airlines will go belly up, or they will lobby to remove the TSA. Though, the private thugs they replace them with probably won't be any better.

I live in Tennessee. This is an unenlightened state, where they think that a homeowner can "defend" himself in his own home, using evil GUNS, of all things. Frankly, I am terrified living here. Who do these thugs think they are, trying to protect themselves from downtrodden Techs who are simply trying to relieve the stress of the job?
Yeah, and verizon going into drooling CYA mode will not help them. If they were smart, they would have fired his ass right away and offered the guy he beat on something. Hell, a year of free service might have been enough. Now, VERIZON is getting a black eye in public, and looking like idiots who condone thuggish behavior by their Techs. Really makes ME want to get their service...

Well, let's see: you are enough of a thug to get sent to juvie, and dumb enough that you got caught and sent to juvie. In juvie, your hand was lightly slapped, and you were turned loose. Get caught again, get lightly slapped again. While there, hang out with more thugs.
Later, you turn 18, and SURPRISE, you get sent to REAL JAIL. Where you become "bubba's bitch".
Point is, if you weren't a dumbass thug to begin with, you would not be sent to juvie.
The first couple of seasons of DS9 were mostly character development and talk. When they FINALLY got the Dominion War started, the action started. There may be more space battles in DS9 as in the rest of the franchises combined.
And, Voyager actually has quite a bit of action. Not that I'm a massive Voyager fan.
It did go by fast. I saw it with fellow fanatics and non-fanatics, and both groups liked it. If I had to say, I would say the non-fans liked it more than the fans. Which is good news for the word-of-mouth, after opening weekend crowd.
Frankly, it was a fun movie to watch. Lots of action, lots of flash. Enough old-school Trek to satisfy all but the unsatisfiable basement dwellers.
I plan to take my sons to see it this weekend. My 15yo thinks Star Wars has more action than Trek, he says Trek is just "people sitting around, talking". A viewing of the new movie and a few select Dominion War episodes should set his ass straight!
