    About the same, I got my masters in 1996 and it was Eiffel at the time for OOP, quite heavy language but true OOP.
    Java was seen as a little guy bouncing left and right on a web page...

    True, I still do x86 on a (emulated) VAX and also AVR8 assembly, when you have a few kB of flash, nothing better than assembly language!

    Do not forget to write a compiler, using lex/yacc or flex/bison too, using an LL1 grammar that you wrote. This was an assignement we had to do when I was in university learning CS. Do students still learn that?

    We can do it the old way by mailing paper, yes. I filled my first one in 1997 via paper, and since 1998 I do it online :)

    I crossed the Canada-US border about 100 times in the last 10 years, by car/RV, never ever I had a question about electronic devices, cellphone, laptop, hard drive, etc. But always question on fruits, vegetables, meats, guns, $10'000 cash, firewood, etc.

    20 years ago I used NortonCommander aka NC in MSDOS, in Windows 3 I started using WindowsCommander, a NC clone running in Windows. It has been renamed TotalCommander years ago because of TM.

    It is still being developped, and is avalaible for free in Android. Best app ever.

    If I go up the window on my house with my laptop running inSSIDer, I can see more than 30 networks on 2.4GHz, most of them on channel 1.

    If I switch to 5GHZ, I see only one network, mine :). I bought a half-mini pci ABGN wireless card for less than $20 on eBay, and a used Cisco E3000 for $60 (then installed TomatoUSB). I know have a network without noise.

    Where we have the highest price in the whole north america! The highest taxes too, and a crushed middle-class.

    We pay more than $5/gallon for a long time. No matter why in Québec the majority of cars are sub-compact (yaris, rio, accent, fiesta, 2, etc) or compact (corolla, civic, 3, elantra, etc).

    It's used in RC world for years now. I also read that some guys sprayed a TV and put it in a water tank, it worked for 8 or 9hours!
