    He used --force or --nodeps when removing that package. It tried to stop him and he overrode it.

      Better disable 'cat' since it can be used to erase your hard drive!

    Nah, it really is 1/50. If you get 1/25 compression not counting dupes, you'd surely get 1/50 with the dupes.

    I, as well, welcome our 1/25th of original size overlords... but it only works on hot grits articles, which are highly compressable due to the large amount of petrified data.

    Hear hear! My 3 year old loves Futurama (she likes Zoidberg, with Bender a close second). She too, doesn't repeat Bender's catchphrase (nor Zoidberg's "I feel like a summer guy!"), but she finds it pretty entertaining. Her (now 5 year-old) cousin, on the other hand, did use the phrase "I could get through here if I didn't have these damned arms" which got her in trouble...

    I suppose its only a matter of time before we have to cross that bridge.

    Its not dashes that do it, but soft hyphens (0xad). There's a link in another thread which has the apropriate HTML, and it does hang Firefox 1.06 on Fedora 4.

    Which is why you cluster the services and then you have no single point of failure.

    I don't disagree with uptimes being exaggerated a bit (especially in comp.os.vms when this is brought up), but its easier to have a theoretical 100% uptime with VMS and clustering when set up properly.
