I don't know. Personally I think they both have their strengths and weaknesses. I have switched to Ubuntu (not LTS) and have had only one technical problem with the distribution, which was fixed with the next apt-get upgrade. With Fedora I always had the impression I was working with something broken. The other thing I like about Ubuntu is it's lite install especially with server. Fedora is just too bloated even on a minimal install. Fedora does give someone a cheap way of learning Red Hat's distribution even though certain features are not in RHEL yet. It has been a few releases, since I have used Fedora, so objectively I need to try it out again. The one think I do like about Fedora is their documentation organization. In contrast, I find Ubuntu's documentation to be here there and everywhere.
Linux still is a little rough around the edges and I'll be first to admit that, but it's an uphill battle when you are fighting a virtual monopoly, who has all the cooperation it needs with hardware vendors. I will say that Ubuntu has accomplished a lot. Linux in general has accomplished a lot as well, since I started using it. Of course after a week working with Vista objectively I am not very impressed. It's obvious that this release was all about revenue and not innovation. I would keep in mind that the guy that wrote this article is a grandpa.;-)
"But why, whenever someone makes a mistake or fucks up is the very first thought (or post in this matter) always down the line of lawsuits, cash, court, lawyers etc? " Because huge corporations like Circuit City will understand the ramifications for their actions when it hits their pocket book. Personally I would sue them for everything I could get and then after expenses etc. publicly donate the rest of it to charity. Mainly to inflict a severe damage on them so they will think twice before doing it again and to show that I am not in it just for monetary reasons.
OpenBSD Wireless is something the OpenBSD team does really well. I had a brand new laptop, in which I first installed Ubuntu 7.04. Well, wireless didn't work and after reading all the hacks that would be required I decided to install OpenBSD out of curiosity. Well, everything worked with no hacks required. Kudos to the OpenBSD team who perform such miracles as well as all the other wonderful things they have done for the open source community e.g. OpenSSH.
Actually the difference between the Republicans and Democrats is the difference between Coke and Pepsi, one is sweeter than the other but both equally corrosive. As long as Americans still believe in a false left right paradigm then we will be polarized and allow them to keep doing what they are doing.
Almost half of the Democrats voted No on a resolution that would prevent military intervention in Iran without Congressional approval.
Here is a good commentary by Keith Olbermann on the Dems and Iraq.
I have been a SunRocket customer for almost a year now and the service has been awesome. In addition to the much cheaper rates than Vonage, the voice quality IMHO was excellent in spite of "not controlling the lines" as well as the customer service. Bye SunRocket.:-(
Is from a potential employee that was rejected by Google's interview progress. From what I have heard the interview process is pretty condescending. Anyone here interview with Google to confirm that? I could see someone who is rejected starting their own thing, which becomes the next thing.
I simply would like to have our government back. I would like to have a change in foreign policy, so that the world looks to us a beacon of justice and freedom instead of an imperial power. I know that sounds dreamy, but just those things would be a good start. The typical Neo-Conservative Republicans or Communist Democrats aren't going to do that.
Nice try at re-writing history.Well, personally I have met two survivors, so I know there is no convincing me that it didn't happen. My next door neighbor being one of them was the sole survivor from her family. When her train arrived at Auschwitz she was separated into the "other line" from her family. Her family went right to the gas chambers. She obviously survived until they were liberated. It's sad, but very true.
In addition, I also met someone who was expelled from Austria via forced emigration, who in fact had her papers signed by Adolph Eichmann himself.
To me the Holocaust is more than just the persecution of Jews, although they were the largest number. It is an admonition of what can happen under a police state and that said state determines you are an enemy of it. Not only were Jews killed in the Holocaust, but also gypsies, Slavs, Christian dissenters, disabled, mentally ill, and anyone who was against their ideology.
Ron Paul is about as close to being a true Republican as you can get. I mean that in the true sense of the word Republican. Ironically the modern day Republican Party is more like the Federalist Party that the Democratic-Republican Party was formed to counter.
I completely agree. I bought an ATI card a few years ago, but it will definitely be my last. Their Linux support sucks and so I will vote with my dollars. Bye ATI, hello NVIDIA.
I used Turbo Tax for the last time this year. This was my second year and in retrospect it is just not worth it. Over $60 for the software, then it's I think $30 dollars to e-file, which I didn't do (certified mail). The total cost of software plus all the hours of my personal time to me it just isn't worth it. I am going to pay to have someone do it for me next year.

when you can have a Microsoft table. :-)
After moving from the defunct Sunrocket to Telelblend (Teleblend was awful) I switched to Packet8 and I have been very happy.

After reading this it is quite clear to me that Guido has no idea what he is talking about when it comes to Python 3000.
So, what alternative players do you recommend?

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately as usual I don't have any mod points. ;-)
"I mean, come on, nobody could be THAT evil."
I am not flaming you, but what history books are you reading?
I concur. Hear!!!! Hear!!!!!!

Ding Dong! The Witch is dead. Which old Witch? The Wicked Witch!
Ding Dong! The Wicked Witch is dead.
Wake up - sleepy head, rub your eyes, get out of bed.
Wake up, the Wicked Witch is dead. She's gone where the goblins go,
Below - below - below. Yo-ho, let's open up and sing and ring the bells out.
Ding Dong' the merry-oh, sing it high, sing it low.
Let them know
The Wicked Witch is dead!
I just wish Yahoo would make their main page more like this.

I hope I don't offend you, but you misspelled. It's Amerika now. Spelled with a "K"

Yes, I am in for Ron Paul. Not only for Internet issues, but because he actually believes in the Constitution and Habeas Corpus.

Here you go ZFS or here.
The funny thing about comedy is that it is often true.
