    I hate absolutely everything about Access. It strikes me as an application that allows non-technical users to create a macaroni-and-glue office-based application.

    Maybe it's because I only use VBA along with Excel, but I actually really don't mind it... I can do some pretty nifty shit with it. That said, every experience I had with COBOL was fucking trash.

    Didn't the US Government just approve that Equifax can no longer be sued into oblivion? Why the hell should Equifax (or any other company) even give a shit about security at all anymore? They fuck up, get raises, and live long, happy lives.

  10. How could they even expect these things to sell more than maybe 1000 units? Snapchat is relatively niche as it is. Then add in the fact that most Snapchat users are probably 15-18 and probably don't have the money (or rich parents) to buy them the stupid glasses. It really narrows down the number of sales. Maybe if somebody had have found a way to hack them into doing something useful they would have sold.

    What's their point? If people are being "triggered" and "shamed" by the data, maybe they should ignore it or use another app? Who gives a fuck... This entire padded world we're creating is bullshit. They should have added a toggle to disable it, then create a "hurt snowflake" counter that counts the number of people that turned it off.

    Thanks for adding those studies to my comments. I'll add them to my arsenal haha.

    I also really appreciated your point on fucking touch-screen radios. My van has one and I can't stand it. Most of the controls can be dealt with via redundant steering-wheel buttons, but some people are going to spend their time fumbling around a flat screen.

    I have no idea who came up with that idea, but they should be run over by somebody trying to change the EQ settings while driving.

    The law arguably makes it worse. We all know laws really don't stop people... but now instead of holding the phone up and seeing the road in their peripheral, they're trying to be sneaky by holding the phone down on their lap... so they're looking at the floor. I'm very much against distracted driving, but this law is just bad news all-around... I'm not sure how to approach the problem, though.

    And thus, they will end up destroying the only reason they (the brancher-offers) were getting money... and we'll wind up all going back to piracy. Things will end up so segmented that we'll be paying cable-level pricing to get access to 50 different streaming services. Fuck that.
