oh come - you can probably pull a quote to disprove anything. I would still stick to that the majority of programmers respect artists (as long as they are good artists - a bad web designer can leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth)
I've never met any programmer that looks down on the graphic design community. And I doubt visa-versa.
However, in art, people don't _want_ other people modifying their art/music - and most of them hate the very thought of it. It's this difference that can cause problems.

OpenSceneGraph can use sdl btw - a rather powerful combination too
I know this is probably unacceptable for this situation, but you can quite easily write java code that communicates with openoffice. I did this in a day to convert word documents to pdf's, and manipulate them. An added bonus I got for free was to also convert from a webpage to a pdf.
I was wondering - do you put sprinklers in the kitchen? And what about electrical/chemical fires?
I remember something about pure water (with no contamanents) is not conductive. Is this true? Could you filter the filter somehow enough to make it better on electrical fires?
damn, I was hoping to see a matrix-parady with sco shooting bullets, and tux dodgying them.

Um that doesn't mean you can get hold of a copy for that reason tho. You would have to download it for educational purposes, then once you have it, change your mind, and laugh at it.

I had always imagined it to be like a short disc, so it would lie flat on the tounge, so the cheeks are to the side of it.
And how do you add the feature of reducing the memory footprint and so on?
"who believes that users are a fucking plague of idiots set loose in Biblical proportions upon my otherwise Utopian computer networks."
:)
Reminds me of Maltilda... when Miss Trunchball said that kids were a plague on a school, and that school would be much nicer without them
I wrote a patch for tar to auto detect compression, but it got rejected.
So I have started to rewrite all the tools - once and for all fix it all
you meant "buy windows apps and run it under linux" right?
Just incase you did mean what you said - wine doesn't need a copy of windows installed.

punish anyone that doesn't use sametime ;)
They could go through a sametime server - that provides logging and support for msn.
He was being ironic.
(I hope I used that word correctly)
hmm, well you can start openoffice and have it running as a server.
Then your java apps (or python or whatever) can just talk to it via java objects (or whatever).
Makes it trivial to create word doc's.
In a day I made a web page where you could type in a web url or upload a word document, and it would create and return a pdf.
I used to this to change the hue of a load of pictures.
:)
I broke a picture of a map down into all the edges (roads) and then changed the images into various different hues.
Now in a web page, you can see the roads change colour
You had a bad childhood right?
yeah okay - pay me for a weeks work and I'll do it, or money back :)
I don't know whether you can or not....but..

It's neat to watch it
You know, you don't _have_ to drink alchol!
I know - surprising huh.
so you work 8 hours. That still gives you 4-5 hours a night to do stuff.
And if you don't drink, you can go out both saturday and sunday! And if you are adventurous, friday night too!
> You've got insurance? Then let em burn
I agree. The collection from the life insurance will be enough to retire on if you have the average 1 wife and 2 kids.

um, regex's aren't nfa's. nfa's can do, for example, make sure a string has the same number of opening ('s and )'s.
...
so you'd have:
String -> '(' String ')' |
try doing that with a regex
can't they put the loader on a cd along with linux and run that?
It's still disturbing :P
dude, your sig is disturbing.
And hard to be sure you don't mean it in a racist way.
