Meanwhile, Nintendo has reported a drop in profits and cut its full-year profit forecast. Nintendo's third-quarter profit plunged 43% to 21.31bn yen ($205m; £110m), against 37.43bn yen a year earlier.
A strong yen and weak GameCube console sales prompted it to cut its full-year forecast by 20bn yen to 70bn yen.
Competition is intense in the market for games software, with US companies Electronic Arts - the company behind The Sims, Take-Two Interactive Software and Activision - all vying for market share.
What we have here is a group of school administrators so extremely left wing
I don't know how you can associate the political position on just few facts, but if you want to do so, you should use right wing, instead of left wing.

While these 2 FBI agents are investigating a poor physics student at Texas, a real threat is planning something somewhere, right on american soil, without any worry.
Do you really think a real terrorist is going to be that direct?
Actually, Ford already did this to me. Back in 1994, I had a Ford Escort and was planning a trip of 1k km, so I decided that was a good idea to do a check-up on a Ford Dealer, just to be safe.
What was my surprise, when after 500 km, stopping in a gas station, the hood simply didn't open! Needless to say, that was my last Ford.
The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely on advertising. Before you decide, ask Icard, Merrill to send you free written information about qualifications and experience.
So, they ask someone to make a website to tell people they can send written information, for free!
companies do not produce crappy products simply to 'force' you to buy them. They produce crappy products in response to customer demands. It is what the nameless, faceless, CONSUMERS demand that causes companies to put out what they do.
So, from your point of view, drug dealers are right, since they are only fulfilling a demand.
First time I heard of a Buffy's spinoff, I was happy not to see Angel in Buffy anymore. Back then I thought I could enjoy my favorite tv serie without that boring vampire.
But, amazingly, the Angel show developed, slowly, it's true, to something with its own life. Where else I could find a demon karaoke?
I think the comic side of Angel is great, but the adventure side is almost comic.
From the pratical point of view, not every physics student will have enough knowledge of comics. So imagine someone not learning physics because of a, hmmm, calculus issue, but because he/she doesn't read enough comics!
Strangest one is that City of God got three nominations... although it had its NY/LA debut in December 2003
But according to Yahoo! News: "CITY OF GOD": This brutally violent, documentary-style look at drug gang wars in Rio de Janeiro's slums received four nominations, including best director for Fernando Meirelles. The subtitled film was released last January -- traditionally when the weakest films are released.
Although this is a cool movie, I must say that it is a nice piece of fantasy, as not even the wildest slums in Rio are close to what is portraited in this picture.
Loking at the first released high definition color pic, I can see that the image is actually a bunch of images side by side. Fine, I knew that, but what a crappy work! I can imagine what amazing work they are doing with the colors. Really.
The Brazilian fingerprinting of American citizens is simply a payback, and completely childish
The main problem around this fingerprint thing is: respect. So, the US want to fingerprint all people from ALL countries? Fine! Instead of that the US make, like, uhm, 28 exceptions!
I'm brazilian and I'm not ashamed at all. Show us brazilians some respect, damn it!
To make mater worse, it was decided by a judge from a small state
I'm from a an even smaller state than that, how is this making me worse than someone from a big state?
I was not expecting much from the first book, but I must say the first book is a beautiful piece of corporation crap. It's not computer oriented, it's more like "buy my book, make your company better".
"The Art Of Deception", I know what you mean, Mitnick.
I got a hotmail account a few days ago. Now i got 50 spams per day. Yes, 50. How's that possible?
I have other 2 webmail accounts, from Yahoo, for years. No spams at all for one and like 2 or 3 for the other, since that's the one I use for everything not personal.
Maybe I'm paranoid, but I can't stop thinking that's MS fault!
Don't blame the messenger.

Why can't a guy get a job in the tech sector even though he's working on an oss project and everyone not get on the companies back for hiring him?
Because there is more to it than the naked eye can see, you would be naive if you see this move from Google as just another hire. Think.

this is all past tense
Wrong:
he and the shows creator Chris Carter are planning on making a sequel
why are you spending it sitting in the middle of downtown instead of sitting on a beach somewhere
For one thing: media attention.
Evolution is a theory....the sticker is right.....and the court was wrong
The problem with the sticker is that it has a implicit religion statement, justifying the court decision.

Slashdotters in Lisbon?
You mean, Lisbon, Portugal?
Actually, there's a non-rotative part in the apartment, it has the kitchen and bathrooms. Cable TV has to be in that part also.
Do you know what the real problem is?
While these 2 FBI agents are investigating a poor physics student at Texas, a real threat is planning something somewhere, right on american soil, without any worry.
Do you really think a real terrorist is going to be that direct?
This is about waste of resources. Period.

Maybe they deserve an Ig-Nobel?
Besides the absolutely bad design, the fine print on Icard, Merrill, Cullis, Timm, Furen and Ginsburg, P.A says:
The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely on advertising. Before you decide, ask Icard, Merrill to send you free written information about qualifications and experience.
So, they ask someone to make a website to tell people they can send written information, for free!
I don't really think HardOCP should worry.

That's what makes you read one newspaper instead of another: you pick the one that agrees with your taste.
If that were true, I would only read, hmmmm, Playboy articles.

Buy a multi-region DVD; pressure the studios. Don't steal
Actually, if you call copyright infrigiment "stealing", buying a multi-region DVD player would be considered "stealing" as well.
