    1) So once someone contracts an expensive illness they are "a drain on the system" and they should die. I'll tell my grandfather that; No, better I'll put him on an iceberg and push him off into the sea. That's how the Inuit used to handle 'a drain on the system'.

    2) What is this public system to fall back on for a last resort? I guess you are not in The USA because we have no system of last resort here. You get sick, you go bankrupt, then you die. That's how our politicians want it, that's how we want it, and that's how God wants it.

    Say, that is interesting. I find it fascinating that someone can write Propenso Calc (tm) and that the public can find Propenso Calc (tm) in an online store, and can buy Propenso Calc (tm) (special half-off deal today only!) and can solve lots of interesting problems with Propenso Calc (tm). I don't know if there was any other time in history when Propenso Calc (tm) could have done as well as Propenso Calc (tm) has done.

    No she didn't. She raised flaws that are directly opposed to the TSA revenue model. The TSA gets no benefit from operating well. It gets funded by lobbying and generating fear.

    This would go a long way towards fixing the whole mess we are in.
    I currently have a high deductible medical insurance plan ($6,000 deductible) and a Health Savings Account. My premiums SAVE ME MORE THAN $6,000 in a year over a traditional plan, so in essence I can't lose.I've become a very careful consumer of health care and bargain down the price of all of my health care (as much as possible). I am forced to understand what is being recommended and I take a very active role in choosing what will be done.

    I guarantee you the lawyers were bored with this case about 30 minutes after it began. I know a lot of lawyers. I don't know any that enjoy anything about what they do besides the money, which to be fair is fantastic.

    It is this foreshadowing that is the key to the point of the book. Ender is not in a regular "school". Ender is in military training with other children selected for their brilliance and potential ability to save the Earth in their war against the enemy. They are manipulating the children on purpose, looking for one that can excel at military strategy and find new insights in ways to kill the enemy. I won't spoil the ending for those that haven't read it, but they have been manipulating Ender and the others from the beginning and a few dead children along the way wouldn't be a problem if it wins the war.
