    I went for about 6 months without a computer to sync my iPod with, and this was months 2-7 of iPod ownership for me, so I really formed my use habit in that way. It is nice to have my entire library backed up, plus my photo library. You can never have too many backups.

    If they do, then programmers will start assuming that the user has two buttons and start programming for them.

    Right now I can do everything I want with one button, and can use two if I want... If every developer and every future potential developer signed a contract in blood to the effect of "I won't make crappy decisions like burying an essential operation in a stupid contextual menu" then Apple might consider a two button mouse... until then, please... hold your breath...

    And once again, as with my iTunes + null separator character bug, it was quickly marked "No Workaround" and I lost privileges to view it. I cannot fathom why they don't want me to see the report again.

    Mostly because they are a big corporation and they hate you... specifically you... you should start a website about how Apple hates you, and live out the rest of your life a bitter, shell of a man...

    I got Virex with .Mac...
    I scan every once in a while, and now I have Stuffit automatically launch it to scan every new archive I unstuff...

    I figure I don't want to be the first guy to get a virus for OS X... but I'm not consumed with worry about it...

    That's better than my 12"... came with 128MB built in... I have 640 MB of RAM now...

    You seem to want the cutting edge, but another buying idea is to wait until there is an update and buy the last generation new when they slash prices to drop inventory... You get a really good price, and Macs tend to be usable longer. I bought a new computer my first three years in College, and now I've had my PB G4 867MHz for almost 2 years. I'm perfectly happy with this computer now, and if I buy a computer any time soon, I'll probably get a desktop and keep this laptop until it falls apart.
