To spice things up I can turn to my entertainment.

Believable interpersonal evil is one of the most engaging things I experience in the realm of entertainment: Pedro the Lion opens a song with the lyrics

The scene they describe through the song and the reasons for it are specific, personal and seemingly real. The song is utterly gripping. I severly doubt David Bazan endorses murder as a method of keeping secrets, but the song is utterly gripping. A circumstance such as this in real life would be abominable.

The last significant hardware upgrade I did was a year ago when I got an ATI Radeon 9600 for $70. The last GPU I'll need for a couple of years. I only play games on one box (and coincidentally only run Windows on one box) so my focus can be on other things elsewhere.
