The Motorola A760 has been out for ages in this parts of the world. It uses Linux, but there are ZERO apps available for it aside from the built-in stuff. Just because it's Linux doesn't mean...
I work in a really large corporation and a lot of the people here do more word processing in a day than I would do in my entire lifetime, and they love the animated characters...
I used to live in Rochester. No one ever believed me when I tell stories of having snow up to the second floor, and that the temperature goes to -40...
Oh please god no. I support multiple language versions of Microsoft products at work, including Thai, and I've never seen anyone that actually uses the Thai menus unless for some reason the Thai menus can't be disabled. The Thai menu translations are way too literal and they don't translate the terms into terms that are in common use, and the users just end up confused...
Not to mention, the shortcut keys have to be pressed in Thai...
You have to figure in the cost of manufacturing cables. I work for a cable manufacturing plant and each of our machines cost several million dollars...
The Yamaha papercraft site has been around for years, and I've been making these models ever since the first was up. Strangely, I was about to google for the Yamaha site a moment ago to see if they've put up any new models recently, and in my other window I see this/. article.
N-Gage games come on the same type of cards as the memory card (MMC). So to play these special N-Gage games, you not only have to remove the battery, you have to swap the memory card with the game card.
You can't compare prices between Tablet PC's and regular notebooks. Recently me and friends were looking into buying small form factor notebooks (Sony TR1, Fujitsu P series, Panasonic W2, etc.), but it turns out that Tablet PC's are always equally priced or sometimes cheaper for the same base features.
MO's are still very much in use in the Asian graphics industry right now...
But I guess the MO technology is so old and relatively unknown to the typical user that this seems like news? I've got a (Mitsubishi) 640 MB MO drive since 1997 and a (Fijitsu DynaMO) 230 MB drive since 1993.
Oh, and even before then I had a 500 MB 5.25" MO drive in 1991. I still have all the disks fill with uh.. data, but can't find a working drive to read them.
Actually, this pattern recognition model suggests that reading phonetic script is similar to reading ideographs. When reading Chinese, you don't have to look at each individual stroke to figure out the character. In fact, Simplified Chinese is an entire writing system with reduced strokes, and most people who were taught Traditional Chinese have little problem figuring out Simplified Chinese unless the character is significantly different.
I had the first PC version of Myst. The non-animated graphics looked as good as the Mac version (obviously), but for some stupid reason Cyan reduced all animations to 256 colors. So anytime something moves on the screen, it becomes 256 colors, then when it stops moving, it goes back to being 16-bit colors.
I have four WD1200JB drives. Two are used in a RAID array, and the other two are spares. The spares were bought then put in storage, never tested. Well, one time one drive in the array failed and I went to replace it, and turned out both spares were bad!
Oh yeah, and the WD's had a firmware bug that caused problems when used in a RAID configuration... sucked.
So that's what the exclamation and unlocked padlock symbols mean. Whenever I go to China my phones always show those symbols and no one knows what they meant. I guess someone's eavesdropping.
One of the reasons this was put into effect is because broadband access is way too expensive for non-businesses to afford. Registered game shops and cybercafes get special discounts otherwise they also can't afford to get broadband. So people who play online games never play at home.
Hmm, come to think of it, I guess this is also the reason broadband prices suddenly dropped.
Hmm, but the warning labels aren't always useless. Peanut butter can be fatal to people with peanut allergy, and it's not always obvious to people who don't eat peanut butter that the jar contains peanut butter.
There must be different types of Model M keyboards. Mine is made on 7/23/95 and is really quiet. It's heavy like the keyboards from the 80's, but is even quieter than modern keyboards since the keys don't clatter and move from side to side.
Personally I prefer the Compaq keyboards from a few years ago. Before they started putting multimedia buttons on the keyboard and using bright colors.
That's the problem if the sample size isn't large enough. I have two Quantum Bigfoot 2.1 GB's bought in April 1998 and both are still running perfectly today. One of them is used heavily as it stores a local database with machinery parts.
We also have 20+ IBM Deskstar 40GV's (4200 RPM version of the infamouse 75GXP) bought from two different distributors. All drives bought from distributor A have failed and been replaced under warranty, while all drives from distributor B are running fine. I can imagine other users who only buy from one of the distributors exclaiming that Deskstar sucks/rules, depending on who they buy from.
What's annoying is that eventhough all these manufacturers use T9, but there doesn't appear to be a fixed T9 standard. e.g. different words and word selections appear on different brands, and the ordering of special characters, and even the space key is placed differently.
This program has been around a long time that most people who use Sony Clie's most likely have already tried it. It was originally for Clie only cause this was written before the Palm Tungsten T was available.
It also doesn't work very well with 320x320. 320x480 recommended.
This has been around for quite a while. There are two versions to download, an nvidia specific one, and one that works with any video card. But the only difference I can see is that the nvidia specific version has the nvidia logo on the corner.
The level of detail varies with the region. The last time I checked out the program like a year ago it had extremely detailed maps for most regions of the US, Japan, and Afghanistan. The maps weren't updated in real time though.

Intel doesn't even provide the Centrino PRO/Wireless drivers for Windows for download. It's up to the Centrino manufacturers to provider the drivers.
3300 is Series 40.

My mousepad bought in 1990 is the oldest "hardware" that I use daily.
One of the servers I have around here is from 1997. With K6-2 450 CPU, 128 MB of EDO RAM, and a whopping 4 GB of hard drive space.

The non-MX Logitech mice actually come with either 400 or 800 dpi sensors, depending on the cost and which year you bought them.
I also use Logitech's optical mouse. I have a red one and a blue one, both 800 dpi.

In some countries it also costs money to _receive calls_. Sending text messages is much much cheaper.
