I don't think so. Causing fusion into a melted lead-lithium fluid is good for achieving near 100% fusion energy capture, but since the fluid traps all ionizing radiations emitted from the engine, the only way you have to control if and how the system is working is by inserting a thermocouple in the molten fluid flux... I am afraid that this device will be a nightmare to work with.
...because we wanted to increase the information accessibility on the net, as well as to increase the number of information providers (digital multiply). Each provider claimed that they add something original to offer to the end user (digital add). We now discover that each provider wants nothing but money from our pockets (digital subtract).
I still remember my quantum physics professor giving two hours lectures without ever taking a break, with no written notes at hand, surfing among hamiltonians, fuchsian singularities and spins, and using nothing but chalck and a blackboard. For his research work he missed a Nobel prize nomination by a hair, and he left a vivid impression in all his students.
Now a student gets nothing but a virtual assistant...what will they remember of this after a few years ?
While you are so busy developing top speed CPUs for gaming, could you remember once in a while to release something new for the few of us who still have to spend their life *working* ?!? Thank you...
It has been reported before, I think also here on slashdot. It would be interesting to estimate if the missing insects (their body is made of carbon and other elements) had a significant role as a carbon sink. A back-on-the-envelope calculation gives me roughly 1% or less of the world CO2 production, but I am not very expert in this field.
probably not new, but for sure it is boring...
..they want us to revert back from fiber to Bell-202 ?!?
...I personally know a few people who worked in Tusla, and moved away as soon as they had the possibility of remote working.

this.
Do Slashdot topics follow xkcd themes, or rather Randall Munroe reads Slashdot ?
...why do they get run over by cars ?

...and this poses an interesting question. Was the piece of news written by AI or by a human ?
Indeed. They also did cup holders for PC, could we have something similar for a cell phone ?

Most of my coworkers would be unable to login...

given who is the developer, I just want one that does not explode.
After all, the app downloads just gigabytes of fake news.

...instead of reading in the headline "Samsung announces Galaxy Book", " I read "Samsung announces Galaxy Boom".
What is the effect of Slashdot posting on mental health ?!?
...by singing this altogether!

had to make some statistics about the collected data, I wonder if they had a fixed mindset...

Actually it is easier to check weather by simply looking through one of the home windows.
...two AI phone can go on forever talking and messaging each other until either the batteries or the phone subscription expire ?!?
