You forgot to mention B&O (bang and olufsen). They've got some slick high-end products like flat cd players with magical oversampling you can hang on the wall (yes you know where Sharper Image's chinese knockoff got it's inspiration from now), tube bass speakers that stretch out along the footboard of your wall, etc. B&O isn't too outrageously priced and will look nice next to your 4 track.
Budweiser tastes like ass to anyone who's never had any real beer. Once you start drinking imports or even microbrewed beer you realize what a difference it makes when a company actually cares what their product tastes like.
By the way, Guinness on tap is the only way to go. The cans and bottles are a cruel joke and don't ever taste right.
I work in a restaurant too, and trust me, there are some customers that take advantage of the refill at every opportunity. Ironically enough it's the diet drink drinkers that are the worst about this. I guess the whole 'diet food mentality' is "half the calories, twice the portions".
These new drivers are cool and all, but the 2d support needs alot of work. Try this for fun sometime.
1. Install the nvidia drivers (last 2 revisions do this).
2. Launch gkrellm and keep an eye on the cpu meter.
3. Open any window and slide it around really fast. You'll see the cpu meter spike to 75% or more and stay there until you quit jerking the window around.
Now really, does it need that much cpu power to move a window back and forth? I'm on an athlon xp2100 here! Ridiculous.
Yeah, methane is a by-product of a fiber-rich diet. I bet your vegan friends fart way more than your average meat eater. Old people as well. Fiber = farts, and about all that cows eat is raw fiber. Goes double for horses.
Your logic is faulty. If you had knowledge that someone in the parking lot had a gun, had it loaded and aimed at you, then yes you would be right to shoot first. The whole Iraq thing is supposedly based on lots of intelligence gathering. It's easy to see after you shoot the fictitious person that they had a gun and was armed, ready to shoot you, just as if you attack a country that says it doesn't have chemical weapons, after you defeat them you can show them to everyone.
I think they ought to crash him in a test car with no seatbelt, then ignite the wreckage.
Let him experience what he caused. That's old-school punishment, eye for an eye type of deal. If he didn't get the death penalty, he should get something much worse: living out the rest of his life looking just like his victim.
Don't forget that Sony put the playstation 1 hardware in the original Tekken games among others (soul caliber 1 and 2 etc). Also I think Sega used their old Saturn hardware in some of the first few 3d fighting games in arcades. This isn't a new concept by any stretch of the imagination.
It's not science, it's a fusion of science and art. You've got to actually read the site prior to the typical/. knee-jerk-reaction-for-funny-karma to actually get it.
That said, from an art standpoint it's interesting. From a science/tech standpoint it's a yawn.
3dfx started losing around the time the tnt2 came out. Or maybe a little before that. Why? Quake.
Quake3 used full on 24bit color and big (256x256) textures. The 3dfx cards, including the voodoo3 and banshee, couldn't handle these larger textures OR the higher bit depth rendering. Nvidia beat them on features, and later framerates.
I traded my Banshee card for a TNT card back in the days when Quake3 first came out. After my friend saw Quake3 on the TNT card he wanted to trade back. Yes, it WAS that much of a difference.
These days, it's more about drivers and price/performance. Visual quality is pretty much the same to the human eye on all the high end cards, and framerates like 90fps+ are about all you can see. Anything more than that is just extra horsepower for higher details or the latest and greatest game.
Nvidia won't end up like 3dfx at this point in the game. It's just the two headed monster of ATI and NVIDIA, each with their own fans and pluses/minuses.
If Pantera is charging $500 a pop for tickets, they need to re-evaluate where their money is going.
There are dozens of punk rock and smaller alternative bands that tour every year, with or without a big budget. Greedy whores like Bikini Kill won't leave home without a guaranteed $10k payout, but bands like Armchair Martians or Scared of Chaka will roll out for a few hundred bucks TOTAL. Sometimes things get fucked up and they have to play to a small crowd and get paid with beer and food, but that goes with the territory.
In the final analysis, bands don't really need enormous touring busses, 5 star hotels and new guitars for every show. They don't need their promoter taking 10% of their cut. If you cut down your overhead and subscribe to the DIY philosophy, you can make it on your own without a major label rolling out a magic carpet for you.
Remember, most bands you know and love probably started out in someone's basement or garage, and probably borrowed the minivan on the weekend to go to shows. Then again, bands these days are basically born from corporate labels and aren't as homegrown as they used to be.
He/she is probably American. Most of the cellphone companies suck here and the phones are probably models from 2 years ago. If you get a free phone when you sign up for service, chances are the phone sucks and is at least 1 generation behind.
Why do americans get the rat's ass of phones when Japan has realtime video phones?!
Bahahaha...fools! I'm getting 141KB/sec steady on dsl.
:p
Bittorrent schmittorrent.

And right after that you can download and install E17.
Your expectations are much too high. Our fellow Tea Sippers across the pond came up with this one. shag...lamer than the last Austin Powers movie. :p

Huh, that's pretty interesting. Let me know what the name of the alternate universe you live in is called and I'll come visit sometime.
I can't wait to see the donut trees and chocolate waterfalls!

..will anyone still want it? They'll have to print up an Eprom that fits into my skulljack by then. Should fit right next to my CopTalk skillchip. ;)

Or even seceding, as it were. Succeeding from a nation...hmm. I'll have to think about that one.
Yeah buddy, just wait. Someday we'll recycle each other.
"Soylent green..is peeeeopullllllll!"

Or in the ghetto parlance of bubbrubb, whoo whooooooooo!
Hey! Be nice to english majors. They may spit in your McDonald's burger after they graduate if you laugh at them now.

Since when is that a problem? Choose your weapon: crossover or the quicktime codecs for mplayer.
Problem solved.
Um, it's well known that some editors have osx-equipped macs.

Wow. People still use Netscape, when alternatives like Mozilla, Galeon, Phoenix, and Konqueror exist?
You learn something new every day.
Hit copy from what menu?!
I think there's a crack pipe calling your name. Judging by your post it's probably still hot.
