    Windows Terminal Services is fine, as long as you don't want to print.

    We loaded up a Canon Imageclass print driver and every third time you print to it, it bluescreens the server.

    Lovely piece of code right there...on a 2000 Server box no less!

    Good call. As a MS shareholder, it worries me immensely about all of these judgements, but I'm not really worried about the future dividends (hint: there won't be an increase in dividends, even though some of the shareholders are demanding it (see last years proxy votes).

    Hell, for all I care they can take their $40B - 3.1B and start selling lawnmowers.

    So spend it like you stole it Bill! Your buddy bush does!

    That can't be their smallest package. If i'm not mistaken, you can still order the "lifeline" package which would only be channels 2-13.

    But it should qualify for al-a-carte.

    but good luck getting those bastards at comcast to go for it.

    Anyone know if DTV offers a similar service anymore? They used to 3ish years ago...

    What's even better (and scary for me -- a microsoft shareholder) is that openoffice is specifically mentioned in last year's annual report.

    But, Microsoft has a plan....some companies will love to upgrade just for the DRM implementation in Office 2003...and others that use openoffice *might* lay down $400 a copy for Visio or InfoPath.

    Sounds like you need a better PDA for bookreading.

    Case in point:
    Palm III off ebay ~$35
    add Plucker (html,txt-->palm)
    and iSilo ($25ish or some other free reader)

    Green backlight for reading at night.
    Gets around 6 weeks charge of two AAA, or
    around 2 weeks with heavy, heavy backlight use.

    As for page flip, you get around 2 paragraphs per page...not too bad.

    You ought to see their "headquarters".

    Located in beau-tiful downtown atlanta, i was driving around one day on vacation, and I see a large ISS sign, so I take a look, small non-descript brick building, in a bad neighboorhood, with some very expensive BMW and Lexus's parked along side.

    The best part? Someone must have leased out the side of the same building...there was a very large Ludicris "Chicken n Beer" ad on the building!

    But he doesn't need Clear$hannel to survive. He's still got plenty of revenue comming in through his cable TV rebroadcast of E! and also his regular broadcast still going with Infintium(?)

    Besides, you're still not going to get the equipment penetration needed to cause that great of a jump in Sirius subscribers and therefore tehir stock...Stern has a lot of listeners, but most of them are really fucking cheap (i mean come on, they're just using it as free soft porn!)

    Yup, that's Mr. Wildmon, from Tupelo, Mississippi, President (?) of the American Family Association. (afa.net)

    They just LOVE stifling free speech and free commerce...and for some reason they seem to have quite a strong following around here. They've managed to successfully strongarm local businesses (and even yahoo! at one point) from selling anything they find "offensive".

    Jeez, this sounds almost just like microsoft's great plains product.

    Especially about the part about the user rights...but people just get funny looks on their face when I say, yeah, anyone can login a view or change data in any table in the database.

    With no logging. Application security is setup, but when they can just login using query analyzer what good is it???
