It's all nice and good that google.com is hosting that video... but their version is the "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" banana dancing during the whole video, as of 4:45 Central time 22 Sep 2006:)
In my opinion, absolutely not. Totally, utterly, completely a bad idea.
The world is moving towards making things "easier" for the mind to comprehend. Phonetic spellings... What good does that do us?
What is the problem with using language to challenge our minds every day? If we make things easier on ourselves on such a massive scale, it might just make us "dumber" as time progresses. I feel that a large amount of small trivial complications to our mental life make our minds stronger. It's been said a ton of times, the mind is like a muscle: if you don't use it, you lose it. What is the difference here of dumbing down our main mental expenditure?
I think it might be a ploy by all the companies around the world to make geeks stronger, as a whole. The heavier the laptops, the stronger we get. We are supposed to take over the world, so we might as well start preparing.
I had one of these $100 laptops 4 years ago.... I went on Ebay... found a 100 dollar laptop... and put linux on it. What's so freaking special about these 100 dollar laptops...
I think there will come a day when complete copyright reform will be necessary. Why not today?
As time goes on we collect more and more data, and store it permenantly. Due to that fact that, at some point in the future, we will have almost everything ever thought of recorded somewhere, a reform will become necessary. When that happens, many common phrases, or ideas on certain subjects will already be written down somewhere. If one happens across this "coincidence," then they are able, under current rules, to say "Hey! You copied it!" Even if you had never seen the document before.
Some group really needs to sit down and rewrite the copyright rules. It's going to cause a lot of headaches and possibly instate a lot of bad precedences along the way, if it is not reformed soon.
Gotta love the information age! Where everything ever written online is cataloged. (Thanks, by the way, go out to Google and websites like it.:))
Why is it such a big f****** deal? Marriage - in the real world it's a sharing of posessions and religion / life. Ok, good deal.
In a game, it's a novelty. If you're married, you're probably playing in the same dang room together! How imporant is it really? And especially if it's a female and a female. World of Warcraft is a game created by Blizzard. If the same sex marriage takes away from the world they envisioned, then it is not meant to be. It is their choice, and it is their call. If it is so very imporant to the players that they be married, just chose a different race? How hard is it? They might even be able to request a "sex change" in from a GM if being married is so important.
Can't wait for AI. Then we'll have some computers that are like our malicious little brats in video games. Sense our good mood, and trash itself. Great.
This reminds me of when you're in a 3D Game and your mouse is laggy because you resolution is too high...
Why would the monitor make the mouse lag? The only thing I can think of is there is a problem with your actual computer, and not the monitor... a 9ms response time? That means your eyes have to see approximately 110 frames per second to notice a difference... if I am correct, I remember even 60 frames per second is more than the eye can visibly tell the difference on...
But, I am shying from the point here... you said it was an arbitrary number.. alright.
Open up a 3d game and put the resolution higher than your computer can handle... you'll see the same type of mouse lag. I think you may be searching for answers with the wrong equipment.:(
Why didn't they just stick a freaking optical mouse below the damn thing? It'd be a hell of a lot more useful if we had keyboard-mice instead of seperate ones. I'm thinking of buying this and modding it with a cheap old optical... Might be neat.
I enjoy not being able to use my flashlight at the same time as my weapons... Although it is quite the pain in the ass, it is also a hell of a lot more frightening... and that's the reason I bought the game; that and the graphics... not for the stellar gameplay (although it's not bad:P)
Alright alright, lots of water.... so what? It's better than the greenhouse gasses and depletion of natural resources.
The human body is made up of 70% water.... I think we would be able to handle a couple tons of water each year... Diluted ocean water? That one's just laughable.
Take a look at some of your ideas and see the scope on which they exist....
Leela: Fry, maybe yo should get outside and see the real world sometime instead of watching TV all the time.
Fry: But this is HD TV, it's higher resolution than the real world!
Thanks for bringing that series back to memory :)
Or did any of you keep expecting a Transformer to pop into the picture?
Why would their lawyers puruse this course of action if it would be negated in such a simple way?

Blah, Who's :)
Soo... you're telling me, all of you, that you have never been able to sense someone looking at you?
:)
When someone pulls past you on the road, you can't look over and see them quickly turning their head back forward?
Alright, I guess I can buy that.
But it happens to me all the time. I turn to look at someone and see them turn their head away from me. All the time
It's a junk email address anyway :)
They could just make it legal to gamble at State-side hosted servers, and illegal to gamble at out of nation servers. Keeps the money in the US.
Not only did the RIAA lose that case, but comically enough, there was a Free Music add placed in this story :)

Now they've just got to capture that evil meat substitute, and Spam will be eliminated forever!

Concrete Nail Gun, 4 Nails, 4 Lenghts of Chain, one Personal Safe with an attachment point.
Place 250 Gig hard drive inside, packed in bubble wrap and newspaper one foot thick.
This looks like some sort of female alien reproductive organ...

Have you never heard of the saying "The less time I have, the more work I get done." It's so very true... You've just got to get motivated :/
What the hell?
