Now that I've read stories that they can grow algae in the dark feeding on glucose, as well as use it to exhale hydrogen naturally.. I'm starting to see large vats of algae producing hyrogen for use in fuel cells on a commercial level...
Personally, I give it 10-15 years before fuel cells start hitting the markets in force.
So let me get this straight... They blame inflated prices on CD-RW and mp3 when sales were brisk...now their argument will be CD-RW and mp3 when sales are dropping too...??
So just the existence of a format keeps prices up..must be a new-age form of economics..
I have no love of MS, but what you just said was kind of what the DOJ is fighting against... Do you really want MS bundled with a Googleplex of bundled MS only software?
Security of the individual seems to be taking a very solid backseat to the security of the institutions that are supposed to be providing security for the individual.
Every institution seems to eventually forget that their strength comes from the people underneath, be it a company or a government.
Laws should spring forth from society and not be sent down from above. As well as a company's employees should work to better a company rather than having a company as a shelter from poverty.
We have forgotten that the relationship of larger institutions and the individual is a symbiotic one.
It not only requires faith in the system it demands it. No longer will you have the option on whether or not to have faith in the financial system. Under such a society you will no longer have access to your wealth in any tangible form stripping you of yet another form of personal empowerment. If the government or a company says you owe them money they will more than likely find a way to access your financies without your authorization, and be able to keep records of every financial transaction that occurs in society making 'undesireables' very easy to track.
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to take that heat and use it somehow. Heat is energy after all..and it seems a shame to be using computers as space heaters.
I'm waiting for"NAWCAT" and MS to have the big big sword dual in the end... Personally, I just want to watch when money and power come spewing from the neck of the loser.
Well... I certainly hope you feel that way when your placed under "the big surviellance" after getting a speeding ticket. After all, you committed a crime!...the cop said so!
They could try and do a marketing ploy like that, but unfortunately since Apple has an image problem with most people they usually just slap an "Apple's are slow" label on them and proceed to the more "acceptable" processors...
I almost find it amusing that after years of jumping up and down and waving their hands that "mhz doesn't matter" (pardon the cliche) most articles talking about this new non-mhz marketing concept fail to mention apple at all...
The RIAA in further attempts to stifle copyright infringment has issued a lawsuit against Gof for the creation of the human mind and it's capacity to remember music that it has heard without due compensation to the copyright holder.
God could not be reached for comment.
If people cannot sue gun companies for what people do with guns, then I sincerely believe this lawsuit will be fighting an uphill battle trying to sue mp3.com for what other people did with their downloaded files.
Each new law seems to shave away another form of the consumer actually owning anything. What's next..building all our towns around the corporate castle so we can run inside if we're the target of a hostile takeover...
Every year we move closer and closer to a true corporate feudalism... Funny thing is, we're very willing to give them the power to do it if they throw a free toaster or the equivalent our way...
Can someone please unclick the "repeat button" on the history maker.... At the very least put it on shuffle!

Sorry...the joke part of that post was omitted due to it's sarcasm tagginess... :)
No.. I think he needed big tags...
What you might call 'bias' many others might simply call upholding the law.

If (x) exists we raise prices.
I had one..but I couldn't read it!
AMD needs demand...
Apple needs supply...
I'm thinking Apple will purchase the PowerPC design and farm it out to AMD.. makes perfect sense.
Careful what you wish for...

...when people confused by the question realized that a crypto backdoor was *NOT* in fact having your backdoor look like that of a crypt.

America is supposed to be a symbol of freedom. When a symbol becomes more important than what it represents then that symbol is worthless!

Then, of course, we all go into hiding.

Just how many of these experiments are copyrighted? i don't wanna pay the powers that be for the privilege of a cheap and easy chemical burn.
