So, if I'm reading you correctly, you're saying that in order for Christians to refute you they'll have to choose between saying that biology is wrong or "God Did Something".
Yeah, I switched to safety razors a few years ago and I love them. They do require a little extra attention while shaving, though. I'm currently wearing 4 nice dings on my face (cheek by lip, cheek by chin, 1 on chin #1, and 1 on chin #2) from butchering myself on Tuesday morning (not nearly enough sleep over the holiday weekend).
The quote from the MS exec was taken from this week's Talk of the Nation Science Friday show on NPR (as pointed out in the article) which I think is available as a podcast. It was an interesting segment because despite the obvious product evangelizing that was going on, they really do seem enthused about how a device like this will be a game changer in the way we interact with technology.
In the first part of the quote, not included in the fine summary, he takes pains to point out the Kinect hadn't been "hacked". He gives two meanings of hacked, the second one being that nobody has been able to modify the signal coming from the Kinect sensors before it gets to the Xbox...which would allow cheating.
I'm probably missing something really obvious here (the experience of reading TFA, for starters) but can cops be called out for what is essentially a civil matter?
My understanding is that they can't have an empirical wing.
Appeals courts jobs are to answer questions of law, not questions of fact. Questions of fact are determined at the original trial. They are decided by the judge or by the jury.
For the supreme court, the finders of fact are the original court and/or the Congress.
From my, admittedly few, conversations with lawyers or judges, appeals courts tend to be pretty leery about overturning findings of fact from the original trial.
Yeah. By pirating child porn and not buying it you are actually HURTING the child pornagraphers. Think of all the lost purchases they are incurring due to PIRACY! They should join forces with the RIAA's legal teams and push for harder copyright infringement laws for pirating child porn.
I love this quote from the Zen Magnet website. "You'll never put them down for good. Zen Magnets are fun to play with, look good on cute people, go well with deep breaths, and may have health benefits. "
They look good on cute people. The rest of us...sol.
Try grooveshark. Search for a song you like, play it, and hit the "Radio" button. It'll stream similar music, let you rate the songs to change the type of music you're getting, etc.

I wonder which they'd pick.
Tongue in cheek.
"I do not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"
Because you believe in free speech, or just like correcting people?
But its your business what other people think and say about them?

P.S. Anti-Fox News speak always sounds so much more entertaining when you picture it being spouted by an arrogant Frenchman smoking a cigarette.
I just tried it. You're correct.
Sure, but that lie can be tested simply by asking Ms. Alba.
No.
Its lightbulbs all the way up.
I've actually come to resent ads. I actively avoid buying stuff I've seen advertised on the basis that I'm an idiot.
That last sentence...it needs a comma...or rephrasing. Or something.
No. I'm stoned _now_ and I can't make hide nor hair of it.
Exactly.

Obie, did you think I was going to hang myself for littering?

Did you know: "gullable" isn't in the dictionary.
One to grow on.
If I could actually _pick_ the people who are disconnected, the ISP could charge me 10 times as much and I'd consider it a deal.

What do you find to be the problems with RDR? I just started using it a few weeks ago and am interested in where it could be failing.

Hrm. Does this make NoScript or cntl-c technology that allows copyright infringement? Egads.
And this was your second error.
Indeed. I don't know how big the intersection is of /. and 4chan readers...but it made me laugh.
Posting to remove a screwed up moderation.
And of course NOW I reread your post and see you said Asus not Acer. Meh.
How'd the linux install on the Acer go? I'm downloading ubuntu netbook version as I type.
And I took the stickers off about 20 minutes ago (when I started reading this). Odd.
