There's also the story about the Novell server at the college that they couldn't find. I think that was on Slashdot too although I'm too lazy to look up the article.
I also try to find the sales and support email address of the company who sold my address to the spammers and I will sign up their address for newsletters from some of the sickest porn sites I can find.
That is always a good time...this also doubles as a really funny April Fool's Day Joke!
Not sure about that, but I know they have done a lot with stem cells in the pancreas. They've been able to sort of "jump start" a not working pancreas with stem cells from a working pancreas. As for Kidneys, I'm not sure.....
Actually, you can buy a "No OS" computer from Dell, it just isn't available on the web site. Get a quote from a Rep, tell him you don't want an OS or you want RedHat installed or something of that nature. We do it all the time with our servers, I would imagine they would let you get away with it with workstations as well. Of course I may be on crack too.....
Actually, I use Edit Plus (www.editplus.com). Although it does not highlight, it color codes. It also allows any programming language, and you can write your own syntax files and auto-complete templates. Works really well for PHP/HTML and all sorts of related applications.
Nothing is missing. It's more like if you saw a pinball machine which had unlimited free games, played for an hour, and then reported it to the owner.
Actually, it would be more like playing the free pinball, and then saying to some other kid "Hey, if you give me $5.00 I'll let you play this all night." Just my $.02
A lady called her husband from the bathroom of the plain that crashed into the Pentagon. She said the only weapons the terrorists had were knifes and cardboard cutters. I can't believe that of all the people on that plane, or the others for that matter, that nobody tried to "be the hero." Seems like someone on at least one of those planes could have been a big bad man, of course this isn't the movies no matter how much we want it to be....
In recent news, respected space analyst Jonathan McDowell has mysteriously dissappeared after discovering several flaws in the "registered" orbits of US Spy Satellites....
What the article didn't tell you was that all the money Dave and Mike saved the taxpayers by using Linux, went into Dave and Mike's wallets.....God bless America.

Does anyone else notice a pattern in posts like this one? Goes something like this:
-You are pissed because Microsoft makes tons of money and you do not
-I love Linux so don't crusify me
-Microsoft is better because......
Is this true or is it just me??

I feel the same way about Linux that you do about Windows 2000. I used Windows 2000 for a while, but then I went to Linux. Now I look back to Win2K and see Hell. It really is incredible how reliable and stable Linux has proven itself to be. I find it hard to believe that their hasn't been a migration to Linux already. IMHO the only thing keeping it behind is a non-bulletproof install. Are they working on that at all?
I think one of the biggest problems here is the fact the Microsoft has so many damn patches. True, they mark some as more critical than others, but damn. I for one have better things to do than download and install 3 or 4 patches per week, how about the rest of you?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't UPS offer something like this with it's WorldShip software package? I think they transfer shipping data to the local computer through the browser via XML files. Wonder if this will have any affect on this?

http://mathworld.wolfram.com It's free and it has everything I've ever needed to look up. Beats digging out the old Trig Books :-)

I think you should check around your desk for your glasses, there was an 's' on the end of 'keys'.

Sound about right to anyone else?
So what, it's just another couple billion $$ on our already incredible deficit. Whoopti-do, put it on our tab.....

As long as they don't test for caffiene I think most Chess players will be ok....

This would be perfect for networks in school districts. Wouldn't have to worry about students playing UT or using the CD-Rom for a cupholder.....
Windows XP sounds like it will be the next big upgrade....I'm still confused as to why an operating system NEEDS 128 MB of Ram???
