Boston is the center of Red Sox nation. The Red Sox biggest rivals are the New York Yankees. Ask anyone from Boston what they think about a yankee in Boston and they will reply "They should go home." or "They suck!" I hope this clears it up a little for you.

This seems to be the case for me at least when it comes to pollen. Never used to have any allergies at all. Now when June rolls around I find myself sneezing and constantly blowing my nose. At least it wasn't as bad this year but it still sucks. It all started when I moved from one apartment to another and that kicked up a lot of dust. This is my third year of it and I really hope it goes away =P. Now to go the other way when I first got poison ivy it was really really bad. Each time after that was not as bad. Now I'm not overly concerned about it, there might be a small reaction that isn't very itchy. I do think some of it has to do with the environment I live and work in. I went from living out in the woods to living in the city. I also work all day indoors (which really sucks on nice days like today).
Don't forget the walking. A few miles of walking each day on top of the healthy food really makes a difference. When I was out there I did a lot of walking and most things I needed were in walking distance. Of course thats part of being in a city but most of the population there lives in cities.
I think the reason the Japanese don't like the standard wheel chair and keep coming up with "wheel chairs" that can climb stairs is because all they have there are stairs and no ramps. In my brief visit I saw all of one wheel chair ramp. That ramp was only accessible after going up some stairs first. I would hate to be in a wheel chair in Japan.
Yeah I usually drive there now since I live out by BC. I have had the experience of trying to bring stuff home on the T that was both too big and too heavy for a back pack, plus it was raining.
Ahh but there is a very quick way. Just take the redline to Kendal Square/MIT and get off and walk. Its about a half mile walk from there and you don't have to go all the way into the city. Plus you get some exercise.
I had a similar yet opposite experience when I visited Japan from the U.S. The commercials in Japan are less frequent and so short compared to here. Imagine 30 second commercial breaks and not the 5 minute ad marathon.
I could really go for that broadband adapter. I recently in Japan and I checked out Den Den Town but couldn't find it. I did however find a modem for the megadrive.
I'm about to pay off half of my remaining debt on my car and I'm leaving the country this weekend. So if they don't get to me first look for my photo on the news =). They might doctor up the stock photo by adding a turban or something.
A friend of mine was telling me about something that took up one of his classes in grad school and that is basically using "buzz" words to hype up what you are working on. Since he is a material engineer a good example of this is "Titanium". A lot of products that come out with "Titanium" on the label really just have a titanium oxide coating or something along those lines but it can sell more because of that magical word.
My roommate just sent a telegram last night. He needed to cancel something he ordered to avoid getting ripped off but he had to send the cancel order within 3 days of ordering. Well he just found out after the post office closed on the third day that what he ordered was crap so the fastest way to cancel the order that day was by telegram.
I play a rogue in WoW (like 90% of the population =/ but I always play rogues) and one of the most useless "skills" I have is find and disarm traps. Why is this useless? I have yet to encounter a trap except for one quest which was given right after learning the "detect traps" skill. I am glad D&D online is doing that and actually making the rogue class usefull. Why aren't there more traps in WoW?
Just an interesting note. At Bestbuy you can ask to see the EULA before buying the software. No I don't have any links but I was at a Bestbuy and right up front by the registers there is a sign on the way stating this. Next time you are there take a look or ask someone about it. I think that is a fairly good policy or at least a way for Bestbuy to cover their ass.
Its been years since my money went into the pockets of the RIAA and every time I start thinking about buying a cd they pull something like this and my resolve gets a nice shot in the arm. I don't even ask people to buy me music because I know where that money is going and I know what it funds. It would make me feel sick knowing my money would be funding the nice corporate police force they have going.
I mean I expect to see stuff like this on Fox "News" but when I actually do see it it blows my mind. I love the confusion between OpenOffice and OpenDocument, not the first time we saw that argument used wonder where he got that one. I applaud my state doing this and I'm sure my uncle in Arizona would wish his state would do the same. For several years he had trouble opening the word documents that were sent to from the state (he worked on the big horn sheep project). It seems he didn't have the correct version of Microsoft Word and would need to update but his computer was too old for the current version.
I can understand what you are saying. I remember playing BG 1 and having to walk everywhere which was sometimes tedious but also had the benefit of allowing you to walk anywhere. I wish you had the option to do that in BG 2 but allow for the instant travel to points of interest for those who wanted to get right into the action. I also remember it took me about a week just to get to level 3, not exactly fun for someone who wants action and fast rewards. It was nice however to get all those great rewards in BG 2. I must say BG 2 was a very polished game but I did miss a few things that BG 1 had.

What if I were to come at you with a banana?
oh if only I could mod you up
There must be a way to make an ant calculator. Sort of like an ant farm maybe. Lets make one!

Glad to see I wasn't the only one. That was a good episode though.

I would have to agree with this. I also hear that Steve Jobs is now the largest share holder of Disney.
Amelio wasn't so bad. Just recently there was a posting about this http://apple.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/12/23/ 0850242&tid=187&tid=3

I don't know if the world is ready for video internet or television as some scientists call it.

As my professor once told us "Write code so that your pyschotic successor does not hunt you down and kill you."
