... with 64k expansion block. Hooked up to a B&W 12" TV and an el-cheapo casetterecorder. That full-membrane keyboard killed my fingers after hours of typing in basic programs from various zines. I only recently realized how much I was hacking back then trying to adapt basic programs for other systems like apple work on this thing. My dad would help me by reading LOC while I typed. Thinking back, again, on the keyboard - I can't imagine his suffering with adult fingers on that thing.
At $120 for the whole setup, it was waaaaay cheaper than anything else and gave me a unique learning experience.
Yep, we have a Beowulf from 2006, but it still gets results! They wouldn't be cost effective if we bought the same thing now of course, but it's a great resource for those who optimize their code:)
Yeah, sorry submitter, I've been watching this for a while (since its release) and it's really great. Period. This is one of those films that the words "awesomely bad 80s graphics" simply doesn't apply to.
Yep, I just picked one up for free to replace my (gasp, G4) and it works perfectly well for me in a recording environment with some massive storage space attached to it. Doesn't beat me MBP in terms of performance, DUH, but does some pretty heavy lifting for what I use it for.
Ech. Galactica 1980... my favorite scene in the only ep I saw was the Cylon riding to some costume party in the back of a car. If I were on galactica and saw that shite, earth would've ended up like they found it in the current series.
Check it out - the availability of gigs definitely varies from area to area. Another place you could check is a local chamber of commerce - they often know of more than just area business development as they assist community development projects as well.
Yep, Bungie gains it's independence (Oni was the last independent release, right?) and BioWare gets absorbed. BW will get out when Bioshock 8 comes out and they have a sweet diorama to go with it.
Taking the reins off those US teachers who were "hamstrung" when they couldn't hit kids in class anymore. One of the benefits private school has: my trig teacher actually drew on some sleeping kid's face when he was snoring in class. Nobody in class actually minded, and nobody was sued. Hopefully a) this is a fake story as noted and a) spammers will take note, though prolly not.
Duets with Herb Simon...

One of my favorite times in pittsburgh. Went to fix his PM6500 (replacing his dear old Mac II that lasted him for over a decade) and ended up playing a duet on his living room baby grand.:) 2 years before his unfortunate demise... loved that guy.
This is actually one of the few services I saw on a tv commercial and hopped online to subscribe. It started great, but over the past year-and-a-half, it's actually gotten better. Not just the games: the interface, game and list management, profile management, etc. Aaaaand, they often update games already there for better compatibility, etc. Also recognizes all my gamepads with no problem.
So in Pittsbugh, I just noticed the other day that Comcast, as "evil corporation" as they are, have a completely separate On-Demand category in the Main Menu for Serenity-Firefly. Holy Crap, people! That's freaking amazing. Too bad I own them all already:(
Ummm... "now let's go break open this glowstick and pour it into Homestarrunner's mountain dew... I hear they have to pump your stomach when you drink that stuff..."
'nuff said.
One big missing flavor...

Regardless of who you're for... C'mon!!!!!!!! It's a F*cking shift key for god's sake!!! How can you argue against something that's already there??????????? Dickheads? (intended as inflamatory)/skip
Let's just make sure we start with Deimos. Or maybe to speed up the process we can start trying to build dimensional gates on Earth... start by outsourcing the issue to Valve.:p
I believe I remember hearing (albeit on a rumors page) that they weren't going to implement "piles" here. Maybe it's a question of getting the package out the door, I dunno, but I *was* kind of excited to see it. Oh well...

Yep, "fifty shades of ones and zeros" would be better than this shite.

What?? Put money into something that somebody should be doing for free anyway???
Sorry, I'm not sure if the sarcasm tag is still relevant or if people can actually pick up on it these days.
More people should read The Glass Bead Game by Hesse. Not to sound like a prat, but then this is obvious...

Seriously. What did you put on your resume?

Last time I got "friendlier" with one of my users I got engaged!

I suppose checking bad breath is HUGE! hasn't anyone ever told you that when someone offers you a breath mint, you should take it?
