Now this is an interesting thing that people keep bringing up as the failure of Sith. Hayden supposedly can't act and is acting wooden. Um, did you guys forget that since he was a child that he was raised by aesetics that by their "laws" don't allow for the type of relationship he ended up in? That he has *no* one that he can ask how to? And he has to hide that he's married to Padme from everyone but her droid? It's a very disfunctional marriage that I'm suprise worked as well as it did. Then throw in some nutcase who's going to use that information to turn you to the dark side. Hell, if Anikin didn't have that dream, Palpatine probably would have *manufactured* something in that vein. Other than a nitpick with the fighters in that first scene, everthing in that movie worked for me. Some was "not the best", but none of it was "bad" to me.
...can't be shared? I've been trying to get a copy of "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" for a while. The quality is not good, the badwidth (and hard drive space) are very high. And I'm looking very forward to the DVD collectors edition of the first season and will probably pre-order that as soon as I can save up $40. Not because I *couldn't* get it off the Internet, but because I am getting a good, collectors value.
This is the sort of idiocy that "big government" that is bought by special interest groups are doing to destroy our country.
Is file sharing morally correct? If you feel that they are robbing the people with excessive and monopolistic practics, yes. If you feel that they deserve your pound of flesh, then some sort of fine should be imposed.
Don't these people realize how *expensive* it is to imprison people for such a minor illegality? This is up with jaywalking!
I was pretty shocked to find out that Battlestar Galactica was a month or two behind in the US compared to the UK?
Why? I could think of no good reason. It takes days to ship packages around the world, but media (something that is usually transmitted by fiber optics or satelites) takes months?
Or be servicable forever! While the Hubble is an amazing device that expanded our knowledge considerably, it's far past what it was actually expected to do.
It's great that they were able to extend its life and get it to do things that it wasn't really designed to do originally.
But there is a replacement being designed/built. Let's go with that.
Interesting. While in fantasy settings it's pretty intusive, for your non-fantasy realms (City of Heroes, Matrix Online) these may be a good way to reduce costs/add revenue.
While I don't necessarily *want* to see McDonald adds in City of Heroes, they also would not stick out at all. It's actually big enough that you could sell billboards in different areas (and to compititors in other areas.)
This may be something that other companies need to look at.
Kyoto is not really good control. The US may do a large part of polluting, but it is also very large itself. And we actually do have some anti-polluting laws that are more stringant than other, developing sections of the world.
...as you can buy DVDs at your local convience/grocery store for $10, rent many DVDs ate local rental shops. You know, $10 isn't a bad price for DVDs. And obviously people are making money at this.
Oddly enough, it's the company that we dumped to get our VoIP. Of course, that same said company had decided to double bill and when we notified them that we need to have our service disconnecter *after* a date, they dumped us three days ealier.
Branch prediction sounds decent to most people, until it hits reality. Having a program "predicting" that it will need a certain path is *backwards*. If a certain calculation *should* go down a path, it should pre-tell the channels.
I'll take ATI drivers over Nvidia drivers. I still have this weird aliasing thing that happens when some add pop up on web pages. And on my last Nvidia before this, I got hardware lockups due to poor drivers all the time.
I was very satisfied with my two ATI cards I had. Sadly, they didn't have a 128 MB ATI 9600 when I hit my store and they did have a good deal on a Nvidia 5700LE 256MB for a steal. Not very happy with it at all.
IIRC, all you have to do to get your "power menu" on a Mac is just hold down the button longer. IOW, there is no *real* reason not to add a second mouse, other than to be "different".

Got to love our government at work.
Why? I could think of no good reason. It takes days to ship packages around the world, but media (something that is usually transmitted by fiber optics or satelites) takes months?
I know they aren't totally private, but since when has it become something that any software I might load can give away?
Some of us non-invited people would like a Gmail account to!

Isn't the Internet about hooking people up everywhere?

As someone that doesn't make a ton of money, this would be a great thing for me!

Strange, my stylus allows me to right click. Quite handy in Photo Shop, actually.
Bunch of bogus elitism, if you ask me.
I buy my X-Box games for my PC, thanks. Can't wait for KOTOR II. :)
As is basic physics (E=MC^2) any matter approaching the speed of light will effectively have a greater mass.
Which is really sad, as I like Marvel's comics better than DC's for the most part.
Who would have thunk it?
Make of that what you will.
Isn't that what the news is? I mean they use public footage and make a profit on it?
Even if you don't like Bush, you have to realise that he was the most influential person (publicly) for last year.
Now the real question, was she in a public place where you would only expect to see naked adults?
