heh i see your missing the issue again. you seem to be stuck in the idea that a decent society that supports its citizens is too far off to be reachable. if the US was not so focused on the trivial concerns that it focuses on (making money, fighting wars, trying to take over the world) and focused on making the world a better place, people wouldnt hate you for trying. i believe we have it in us as humans to not be pricks to eachother. america works to sustain the american culture. in a good society the culture would sustain the populace not the other way around. there woudl be no poverty because everyone in the world would contribute to making society better, not for material gains.

Wow this looks really hype. at least 2wice as fast as U320 SCSI. but as with most new technology you really have to have price and market share. if the big mobo manufacturers (asus, abit, tyan) build this onboard their machines and the hdd manufacturers make new drives, this coudl easily squash ata 133 and scsi. in fact if it coudl support up to 15 devices scsi would have no benifits. there is so little info though its hard to tell. this could be really exciting stuff. i remember people sayign the same thing about firewire though and i have yet to see a total firewire system.

god i hate when ppl try and come to conclusions abotu society from a survey or using statistics. it is impossible to do a fair survey unless you have a seperate objective view. this is why studies will never be able to predict the future and will never be able to even analyze current trends properly. yes i do believe that they are a good base for more research, but to draw conclusions from it and base an argument on purely statistical evidence and a few misplaced ideals of society ('Tech Support is synonymous with anxiety and indifference', Tech triggers different responses in different people......and even their race and ethnic origins.') is just plain ignorance.
