I too have astigmatism and can wear Toric lenses to (mostly) correct it. Been wearing them for several years now, and I'm pretty sure my astigmatism is pretty bad. Never been recommended hard lenses. Perhaps your eye doctor is just old and not up to date? Or maybe I'm wrong in that only mild astigmatism can be corrected in soft lenses.
I agree. Once in a while, their methods and/or results drive me nuts, but I understand it is TV, not a science journal. 90-some percent of the time, it is just fun to watch (like last week, cutting down a tree with a mini gun... heh heh)
my local video rental place will run their disk doctor (or whatever it is they have) on games/cds/dvds for $1.99. I got the scratches on my copy of Forza2 (without moving my 360). I've been meaning to take it down there and see if they can take that out.
Otherwise, furniture polish had worked for me in the past
The xbox360 does this. I don't know about the price, but I do know that they do have HD rentals. toslink audio out too.

I agree with you on almost all points. I do know one person who had a fragged 360, but MS got him a new one asap. This was when I couldn't even buy one off the shelf. Now that I've had mine 9 months, I love it. The only 2 things I complain about is Divx/xvid support (Keep dreaming, i know) and for Worms to hit XBLA. Otherwise, I love my 360. Everything about it. Gears of War helps too:)
PS. I was an owner of an original xbox, modded of course. I would never dream of modding my 360 because XBL is so good.
Since the latest update (the "Fall update"), the Arcade games load up almost instantly. Instead of waiting about 20-40 seconds for all of them to appear, its nearly instant. It was one of my biggest complaints too, until they fixed it. I kind of want a browser, but really would like Worms to hit XBLA ASAP.
yeah, f'in A man. I was in college when these sites all started gaining popularity. I had an idea a day, now they've all been done and sold for $500m+.
Even if this guy wants to be like jobs or something, take the fuckin money and run. 900 mil (even if he ends up with much less after taxes, etc) would be plenty to pick and choose funding of the Real Next Big Thing (Tm). But, thats just what I would do.
Indeed. May parents have direcway/hughes or whatever its called at their house in the middle of the sticks. They even have the business grade plan, so the "Fap bucket" doesnt get drained while dad is working from home. However, most of the time, he pulls out his wireless card from verizon and uses that. Hell, I've used that card of his in the middle of the woods and still was able to stream audio while camping. I personally wouldd't consider it an option, as I would like several machines connected, but if that one PC is your only concern, It may be worth it.

Crystal Pepsi!
You do realize, of course, that 5 * 4 != 15.
Seriously, are these like Universe products? I'm working in Unidata on a project, and you're right, it f'ing blows.

"My balls, sir. You're breaking my balls"
I guess the GH series was cool while it lasted. Hopefully GH2 is too far along for MTV to fuck up.
