The guy wants to totally reinvent everything in his own image. Co-opting existing franchises to make his own gargantuan ego swell even bigger.
He has shown he can create his own franchises, but the lure of "reimagining" tugs on his soul and refuses to let go. I won't be seeing this movie. I refuse to.
Hell, I still refuse to watch Forest Gump because the f-ing media and everyone else on the planet have taught me all I need to know without seeing it. I didn't see E.T. for more than 20 years after it came out, just because too many people told me "You HAVE to see it!!!!!!" when I said I wasn't interested in it. And when I did see it, I was sick on a couch and got outvoted.

Yeah, I'm serious about making my points and sticking to them. That's my problem.

We would need to fully understand the Borg nav system to really know how big a sector is. Hell, it could have just been that they assign the star of any system 0,0,0 and by their system Earth was in 0,0,1.
Could be a larger scale and Earth just happened to be in Sector 0,0,1. One would assume that the Sector 0,0,0 would be a significant reference point, but you know those Borg, they didn't seem to feel like explaining it. I wasn't going to argue with them. Restising them would be, ... ahem ... futile.

"basically accused him of being a terrorist." Big laugh there. Big difference between that and stating the fact that a friend/mentor/co-worker/neighbor of his IS an admitted terrorist. That shoots down your "false equivalence" theory. People just didn't care about Bill Ayres for some perplexing reason.
I never heard anyone in the McCain camp call him a terrorist. I did hear a lot of Obama's posse whining and crying about "basically accusing him of being a terrorist." Obama definitely won the semantics and double-speak portion of the pageant...
Loved the response they gave that said "Obama was 8 yrs old when Bill Ayres did all that". Were they so stupid that they actually thought anyone believed an 8 yr Obama was bombing police stations? That was never the point and the masses ate up the sarcastic retort and forgot to question the judgement of an adult Obama for choosing a terrorist as a friend/mentor/co-worker/neighbor, then lying one way about it, changing the story 2 more times and then attempting to obfuscate the whole issue.
    That's why I don't believe Obama. I'm a realist though, I don't believe any politician.

BTW, did anyone ever do the math on McCain's plan? I did it based on what I "assumed" they were talking about and I actually came out waaay ahead of my current situation. I have no way of knowing if I did it correctly, but it looked like the check I got far outweighed the extra tax I paid on my benefits. I think Obama played people correctly and counted on more people to simply panic when they heard "tax our health care for the first time in history" than to even try to figure it out mathematically. Nowhere in the media did I see a comparison done so if anyone has one, I'd love to see it.

I think far too many people are basing their definition of "successful" on WOW. I played WOW, and it seems fine for my kids, but just didn't thrill me. AC had decent success and LOTRO and DDO have not done bad at all. I don't tend to go for "one-size-fits-all" in anything; music, TV, movies or my games. People see anything that doesn't become as popuular as WOW as being a failure. I see it the other way around.

The question "Why Turbine?" is pretty damn stupid. Because Turbine wants to do it, thats why! They can develop whatever they want. Its not like they were picked to do it, they just want to. Good luck, hope they come up with something good, the field is ripe for it right now.

Yes, I agree, no circular logic in that post. I was unaware that a lack of circular logic automatically makes a line of reasoning true. In fact, the existence of circular logic, does not necessarily make one false, either. Silly old me, I always thought it took more than that to prove something true.
