That's just an urban myth. Square didn't have financial problems when creating Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy is just a name, much like anything else. The Japanese LOVE cool-sounding American names, "Final Fantasy", although meaningless to someone who understands English sounds very cool to someone who doesn't.
I wish I had some facts to back this up but I'm too lazy to find some right now.
Fiber is highly unlikely to be necessary or desirable in the next 10 to 20 years in residential housing. Install Cat5E cable, it'll handle gigabit which should be fast enough for just about everything.

So what you're saying is that the ICQ network has become unreliable when you're running a version that is two years old, and when you're running a non-official version?
Sorry but ICQ is still (and will probably always be) beta software, which means standards can (and will) change. Nowadays newer clients only use TCP to communicate (or only UDP, can't remember which), whereas older clients supported both. They've switched to TCP to make the clients safer, thus breaking backwards compatibility.
They do WHAT? I would have to say BASIC is one of the worst programming languages to teach a beginner. It doesn't encourage good code-writing at all.
Pascal is a good beginner's language, and so are most functional programming languages (Haskell, ML, Caml and so on). And lets not forget Java, which is an excellent beginner's programming language.
Could this be what you're looking for? It's supposed to be pretty good. I've never tried it myself though (I don't dare touch BASIC, it's too weird for my taste).
There's a version of the game Digger here (which is more or less the same, or?). This is the original version reverse-engineered and re-engineered to work on modern computers. There's also a version of the game Styx on this site.
It's aluminium, check out any periodic table. Aluminum is just another example of American bastardisation of the english language, much like the use of center/centre (meter/metre), *ise/*ize.
Shouldn't that be bastardization, not bastardisation?:p
And yeah of course I'm only doing this to be annoying.:)

I happen to think it's the cleanest programming language I've ever worked with. Functions are small, readable and when they work, they work. No strange cases where things don't work.
I've yet to encounter a bug in the program which I couldn't fix or understand what was wrong with after a few minutes of thinking. When functions are 1-5 lines long, bugs are not a problem any more...
The only problem with those Sony phones is that their speakers suck (I own a Sony CMD-J5) so when my phone starts ringing I rarely hear it unless I have the vibrator turned on.
Oh and you can't have the vibrator turned on whilst having the ringtones on at the same time, now THAT is annoying...
Other than that, it's a great phone that I would recommend if you don't hate "japanese style" things.
Or use LarsWM, which, if from judging from my 3 second look at this Ion thing is correct, does more or less the same thing. I use it right now, it's great!
First I'd like to state that these are my opinions, you have the right to disagree and I'm not an extreme MS advocate normally.
I did 10 months of military service in the Swedish army as an admin. The Swedish army currently uses several NT based system, although some of them are still in beta. Trust me, when done properly, NT (we're talking NT 4 here, I can't really speak for 2K as I've never done any serious administering in it) is stable and safe enough.
Some interesting notes as to why:
- Security is (almost) a non-issue, it's not like they're running a public webserver, we're talking extremely closed systems here ppl
- Where security is an issue, programs use specially developed hardware to authenticate themselves
- Understanding of IT is EXTREMELY low among Swedish army personell, it helps A LOT if they can use the same system as at home.
- NT based systems are easier to administrate for someone that isn't a security expert. Yes UNIX systems are good, but it takes longer to create experts
Of course I'm not saying that NT based systems are perfect, but trust me, when the military uses something, they've made sure it's good before they do.
Hmm... When I was in the Swedish army, we had maps and satellite photos in VERY high detail (no I can't remember how high, but I do remember that there were around 7 sets of maps and each set was 4-6 CDs) of the whole country (well the photos only covered major cities), I'd imagine most countries have an equivalence to this.
Oh yeah and the acting in the original Matrix movie is SO great. None of the actors (except for Laurence Fishburne and that Australian guy that plays the AI agent) come close to being any good at acting. Sometimes I wonder how Keanu Reeves keeps getting roles, maybe it's his looks or something? It's certainly not his acting...
Trust me Aliyah won't lower the acting standards of The Matrix one bit.
It's not used to prevent copying, it's to make it easier for network administrators, so they can use only one key when installing. However, consumer grade software (Win9x versions) have always used different keys.
On a related note (this has probably been mentioned elsewhere), there is a "corporate" version of Office XP that doesn't require individual activation, also to easy the load on network administrators. There is said that there will be a "corporate" version of Win XP Pro and Server when the final comes out for the same reason.
Warning: From what I've Jersey is not part of the EU, and thus you're supposed to pay taxes when importing something from there (or rather, ordering it from play247.com). I haven't had any problems with them or taxation of things from them so far though. Plus their prices are great and their service is brilliant (ordered a DVD Thursday night and had it delivered to me in Sweden by Tuesday). They also carry lots of good rare (ie released only in the UK or some other specific European country) R2 DVD:s, which are usually A LOT cheaper than buying them at the store.
From what I've heard DVD Box office is supposed to be really slow at delivering (a friend of mine here in Sweden had to wait two weeks for a DVD they had in stock), although they ARE pretty cheap.

And don't forget that if you buy it today you'll get the Playstation wizard today. I hate spam...

You've obviously never heard of the kind of male nerd that has long hair. They're pretty common.
In other words, you are mistaken.

So there are people out there that actually like the food they serve at McDonald's?
Was that a standard Athlon (Thunderbird), an Athlon MP or an Athlon XP? We already know that the old Athlons fry pretty nicely (and fast)...
... can be found here. Although it seems to be down right now...

Perhaps, but whilst you're trying to get on Linux fanatics are helping you, pulling you up into it.
Getting on the Windows bandwagon is easier, but when you're there you'll have to be careful or you'll be pulled off by the Linux fanatics.

Or just wear dark sunglasses and pretend you're one of those really cool dudes that wears sunglasses even when it's raining and when they're inside.
I think I've heard that genetically identical twins (I'm not counting hypothetical lab-made persons here) have different fingerprints.
Could be mistaken though, and your point is still very valid.
