Anytime they start work on a new point release it means great things for the Linux OS.
Linus isn't one to just slap another number on there, notice they are usuallly things like 2.4.25-10 and what not.
2.6 should bringbig changes in lots of the core system components. We could get a new way to handle SMP or a new filesystem. I personally can't wait to skim the change logs.
95% of our customers Self Install, and we have no such fucking software. Our customers THINK we do, because the shitty Toshiba cable modems we hand out have USB ports. I've had "network admins" call in bitching about not being able to install the software for the cable modem, that they've hooked up to their router. *smack*
The wave file you get from decompressing the mp3 is NOT the same as the original wave, because MP3 is LOSSY. Don't waste your time with this, the ogg files will sound like shite.
I've volunteered to work a "double" before doing tech support, I guess the key is here I volunteered. I had just finished an 8 hour 2-10 shift, and they needed someone from 11 to 8 in the morning. I left, got something to eat, and came back. Nice bit of overtime, and I was off the next day, so I slept like a rock.
I know hello.jpg and he is a nice guy that wouldn't rip anyone off.
Seriously.
Now he does have a private tracker still up as far as I know...........
I just post to get modded, obviously.

Because I'm trolling on SlashDot with a damn modified nursery rhyme?
Could that be why?
COULD IT?!?!?!
Should of dropped her in the dirt :(
I asked her if it hurt.
Anyone remember Trade Wars 2002?
Or Legend of the Red Dragon?
I used to think those went on forever!
sites that are virtually hosted won't work. :/
Uhhhhh, the US, Japan, and Europe pretty much IS the industrialized world.
Case Closed.
Austrailia is an oddity, and are lucky to even exist in our collective shadow.
Uhhhh
Thats bullshit.

Am I the only one seeing this on the front page in its entirety?
Really freaking me out.
To the first, if its my property, I probably can shoot what I want, especially at night in Texas.
To the second, on my property, yep.
Its once you are in PUBLIC and infringing on the rights of others where you run into problems.
I do tech support for a large ISP.
Every minute I spend talking to a customer costs my company at LEAST $0.90 US.
So those hour PLUS dialup calls take us at LEAST 6 months to make back up from that subscriber in revenue...
Fucked up eh?
I want a phone smaller than my already tiny Sanyo 6200 (Sprint Dual band)
;P
Or, even better, a phone the same size, but with a bigger screen and battery.
Seriously, this phone is bad ass, and the "smallest dual-band phone in North America"
It has a picture of my girlfriend on it
Great book, totally factual and easy to understand, though it can get a bit pricey......
Quake3 has no software renderer, and a software implementation of OpenGL would SUCK ASS.
good analogy for people that simply don't understand that once you throw the information away, its not there anymore....

Too bad the database server only accepts connections from the web server, regardless of username/pass.
:)
If you have access to their web server, its already too late

Oh yea, no one calls during graveyard
According to the DVD consortium, it stands for nothing. It is not really an acronym anymore.
Shenanigans!!
Counter-Strike anyone?
More impressive.
Gotta stop mixing Dayquil and Nyquil.
shaddup, its fixed ;)
At this rate, I'll never be able to unload this stock.
My biggest feat at night? That the same thing is going to happen to the telecommunications company where *I* work.
Fuck.
The other school someone had applied to would have access too.
Fucking shady.
And then, the people Harvard Rejected, Princeton could offer enrollment to, without fear of losing to the rival......
Makes your numbers look good to have everyone you accept enroll....
