Well, I've always said, as the rapid pace of technological change continues to force a reconsideration of the vitality of our intellectual property regime, it is tempting indeed to cite the "communications revolution" of our time -the Internet- as disrupting to the delicate balance struck by pre-digital copyright laws between the rights of owners and users of creative works. After all, it was no less than the Supreme Court that succumbed to this inexorable urge in its first encounter with cyberspace by famously proclaiming the Internet "a unique and wholly new medium of worldwide human communication."
I think that they are becoming more mainstream all the time - but you answer your own question asking about books and football. Gutenburg had his press in the 1400s. Professional football has been around since the 1800s. Video games have only been around for 40 years or so.
Bulls helmet? Madden doesn't do basketball, and the nba is rough, but they haven't gone to helmets yet. Bills would have worked though. Let's go with that as a typo.
I'd buy this for Christmas if I could, but it looks like I'll have to wait a bit. Only four more episodes - have to make sure I don't miss those, they all sound pretty interesting. And I'd like to see how it compares to Video Game Invasion.
Some of the UAVs that you see in the media a lot like the predator and global hawk do need some space to operate, due to their scale. But I don't think it is safe to say that most UAVs are that large or require a runway. There is a whole range of Miniature UAVs that can do some slick stuff. I guarantee if you're seeing it on youtube and thinking of possible military applications, the military has probably already made that connection some time ago. There are a lot of people, some of them pretty smart, who have dedicated their lives to this kind fo thing.
Of course Nintendo doesn't have to do this. I'm somewhat shocked that a tech site like slashdot would be so woefully unaware that this problem has already been completely solved by Nokia with the N-Gage. If you check the reviews you will find that it is "
A great multi-function device that plays games too!". So let's get with the times slashdot.
I have quite a few friends who, like me, have young kids and haven't bought a console for quite a while, and they now have a wii. Their kids will keep them buying games. If game sales are soft now, it's not because wii owners are too 'casual' to want new games - it's because the game makers completely missed the boat on this platform and are still catching up.
It is still hard to find a wii at stores. They are still going for way above retail at amazon. And that's not bundles. I don't think with a user base as large as they'll have - I don't think selling software is going to be a huge issue. On top of that - they make money off the console right from the get go.
When I get the opportunity. Mod points seem to come in bunches. I metamod too. And you are right. I should have just chilled out, but some days that's easier said than done.
Your first post in over a month - and that's it? Come on. You can do better.
Railing against bad mods is a waste of time I guess - but right now I've got a little time to waste. As evidence, I offer up this reply to your snarky question.
Oh yeah- I'm trolling. The fact that the current binaries they have at the site are for 0.9 didn't hide my evil intentions. And I have such a long history of trolling - that gave it away too. It's not the karma - I'm burning more with this post - it's that I'd like to know exactly who the idiot is who modded that a troll. I'd happily let all my mods be publicly listed, because I don't pull this kind of crap.
It was the navy - what do you want? Our day at the range they did it to us with.45s. Holding that up straight out was no fun. But lest some innocent reader think I don't deserve the wimp moniker you have bestowed upon me - the.45 was chambered for.22. I shot 16 rounds if I remember and that was the one and only time I ever handled a functioning firearm while in the military. The last thing the Navy needs is sailors running around on a ship with guns. We had marines for that.
Mark Newman has a very nice sliding rock poster with a good shot of rock and trail in a variety of sizes.
This is what I was going for. Unfortunately I ripped off TFA and nobody reads that - so nobody gets the joke.

well he did say it was from digg- no need to be redundant.
i tried to get a position with the mafia - and i couldn't figure out why it didn't work out. it's all clear now.

If this is the same person - and this took place because the publisher paid for this review - then that would be worth noting somewhere in the review.
How does one go about just getting technical books mailed to their home for review?

But the site says ordering will be back up by the 26th.
Wil just sold through 300 signed hard cover copies and I guess the paperbacks will be available again in the next week or so.
That is excellent - I can't wait for the bumper stickers - My kid pwned your kid in halo3.

They are worse than not perfect. They actively encourage and engage in real harm in almost every endeavor they undertake.
dot slash? this entire thread is going to be a mess and every time it gets pointed out someone will claim it was a joke.
Right - but the AT&T method is public - so if you can get that the rest of the way to 10%..... I guess step 3 is profit.
Is the new margin of improvement for victory then?
Spawn more overlords.

Looks cool - I'll keep checking back to see when 1.0 binaries are available for Fedora. Hopefully soon.
