Especially considering that the Phoenix metro area is the fastest growing in the nation, and has been for the last 4 or 5 years. When I moved from there 4 years ago they were not in the top 10 yet (population). Also, this is only the legal population of Phoenix. Some people sya that there is another 30-40% living there that are illegals.
i agree with the title of your post, but the actual post itself is ludicrous. on flat ground i can get to 30mph on a mountain bike, nearly 40mph on a road bike.
you have to be more specific in stating what was more intuitive, and give credit where credit is due. was it Linux (kernel and basic file structure) or was it the GUI that was more intuitive?
If it is the GUI, then give KDE/GNOME/whicheverelse the credit. my girlfriend knows jack about Linux, but she really likes Ximian, and uses it somewhat effectively for her purposes. does not mean she likes Linux, per se.

i move my eyes when reading, not my head. my neck is startign to ache just thinking about it.
hardware was pretty cool looking though!
IMHO, YMMV etc etc...

rain checks almost always (prolly 99% of the time) apply only to in-stock items. that way, they take the item, tag it, and set it in the back room for you to come pick up later. that is what Wal-Mart did back in '98.
"But smoking, which is known to cause cancer, remained a bigger risk, she said."
At least that cigarette I had after lunch is still more dangerous to my health than my BigMac was.
Although, it would be awesome if I could say that my smoking of a cigatette was healthier than the next non-smoker who gives shit about smoking, as he/she is wolfing down that BigMac.
that was the entire point of cd's in the beginning. they told us, the consumers, that this new technology would be higher quality, and in a short amount of time, lower priced than tapes. so what did we do? went out and bought cd players by the millions, and then of course cd's by the millions. funny thing is, we only got better sounding music (quality of cd vs. tape), not the better pricing. i mean come on now, we buy cd-r's for what, much less than a dollar each, yet we are supposed to be willing to pay $14-$25 for that newest cd? i don't think so.
Considering how much money AOL/TW lost, and how painful the HP Compaq merger is becoming, I would think that IBM would want to stay away from mergers for a while.
wrong wavelength. any visible light would be of a wavelength that is way to huge to fit. besides, it will be a closed circuit, just like any electrical circuit should be.
before you buy that Apple display make sure it is the next generation past what they use for the little 15" display, which is actually very out of date, spec wise. they do look sweet though!
I am fairly sure that the pest control companies in the area knew of the bugs.
When I used to be a hired bug killer we would be asked by the company scientist if we had seen any of "bug x" and invariably, most of us had. Every time, he was surprised.
I guess scientists that don't spend much time in the field think that they know it all since they have read (suposedly) all of the books.
Not only have they thought of everything that he was talking about, but they actually are doing it. This season, today, right now! Everything is adjustable, although some of it is not legal;-) The best part, it is all adjustable, on the fly, literally. That's right boys and girls, wireless! Ferrari and Williams BMW are at the forefront, of course. There has been much effort into making sure that each of the teams are not vulnerable to hacking or jamming by the other teams. (The budget for these top-flight teams is supposedly nearly $200,000,000US)
it would be great if a couple of years down the road there were multiple linux based PDA's on the market, that were of good quality, to the point that Joe User says, "...my PDA runs linux, and that thing is great! You are telling me I could use it on my computer too?! I will give it a go..." that would be a very nice way of spreading the word.

why are there so many stories on slashdot that were on fark.com the day/night before?
i was trying to make a 0.5mv^2 reference.

what you describe is momentum. there is no actual "centrifugal force."
it is not unusual for ants of different queens to work together. in fact, there are many species of ants that do this.
probably the most notable in the US is the dreaded "fire ant."

yes, i have not bought a cd in over 1 1/2 years.

most writer's freelance. write a good story for Red Herring, MSNBC says "hey, we want that too" and the writer thinks "ka-ching!"
back in 1993 Pine would move all your saved messages into folders based on month (ie savedmessages_october).
Pine impressed me in 1993, and did it again 2001.
not tested for months eh?
the guarantee is awesome. it will take up disk space!
cool.
good luck!

take your pick of books.
Biostar makes one, with the AMD 761 chipset, here.
