Will the movie be a violation of the DMCA? Hmmm, maybe, maybe not. I wonder what would happen if you built your own Enigma Machine and wrote a book about the process? Like this : www.enigma-replica.com
When I worked as a line mechanic at a local auto repair shop we would order engines and have them shipped truck freight. Sometimes we would get them with chunks of the engine blocks broken off. Now I have dropped engines when hoists or cables break and have never done much more than minor damage. Heck, the guy with the farm tractor shop next door dropped the back half of a John Deere 4440 and only broke the windows in the cab (well there was that hole in the floor). How they managed to break off chunks of cast iron from the sides of engine blocks I'll never know. Freight companys just seem to have the knack for breaking things.
Think of Rated R movies... when a theater enforces the "no one under 18 without a parent or guardian",thats one step closer to having a clue what it is your child is up to.
But, Movie ratings *ARE NOT LAW* they are voluntary. The theater owner doesn't get thrown in jail for letting junior see an R rated movie. We don't need "no stinkin law" to do what parents should be doing themselves.
I saw him at the Tulsa sci-fi con last year. I'll bet he signed 400 autographs. I asked one of his helpers why he bothers to come to these cons at his age, he said "you can't keep him from coming, because he wants to."
to replace *all* possible software with Linux, BSD, ect. Leave only a few office computers and any that need special programs that can't be replaced with "free" software. Since you are a university get some CS grad students to work on installation and training. Call RedHat pay them a chunk of money to come out and help you set things up. In the long run it will be a hell of a lot cheaper that paying the BSA their fines and all of the extra licensing you don't really need. I got one of the BSAs' fishing letters the other day. They would be disappointed to see that everything here runs linux execpt an old 486 running dos 5.0 and a point of sale program. BTW the POS program will run on Linux/DosEmu/DRDos, but the computer can't handle the extra load. When the 486 gets replaced it will run linux/DosEmu.
Kit car companys do this all the time. Well maybe not volkswagon, but you can buy an AC Corbra and lot more. I don't see Carroll Shelby using the DMCA to sue these companys in to oblivion.
Me too, I can put up with ads as well since they arn't too bad yet. If they get as bad as yahoo e-groups however, I may have to pay Taco a personal visit.;-)
This is the ax that George Washington used to cut down that cherry tree... I have replaced the head and the handle, but it occupies the same space therefore it's the same ax.
Before I watched Spriggan, I had read reviews that said it had a thin plot. I have to agree the plot was light, but not as light as I had heard and the artwork was great. Even the English dubbing was very good. A few scenes seemed to be disconnected and a few spots were predictable. All in all it was worth the price of the DVD.
$78 million is a pretty penny, though. At the going market price, you could buy over 30,000 acres of prime farm and orchard land in California's central valley.
Hell where I live you could buy the whole damn county. (not that anyone would want to)
The "LOAD"*",1,1 means load the first program from "1" (the tape drive). The second "1" means to load it into it's original memory location (very likely a machine lang. program). If the "PLAY" button is *NOT* pressed you will get asked to "PRESS PLAY". If the "PLAY" button has already been pressed the C-64 will just turn on the player.
You know it's sad because I get laughed at because my videocard is an old diamond Stealth 64 with 2M ram. A guy I know even give me a 16M card to replace it with but I just can't bring myself to kill my uptime to install it. I will have to wait untill the kernal upgrade to reboot. Damn if I would just run Windows I would have it installed by now.

Whats wrong with Cash? I like cash. Cash is good.
The men in the Black Helicopters can't track you as easy.
I guess you know that now you will have to register your microwave.

Thank you Mr Doohan.
Just open the file in Outlook. That will narrow down the possibilites.
You forgot to ROT 13 it twice.

Sure it does... Why do you think that there are so many Chinese?
It's a chance for me to tick off the yowling hordes, which is always fun.
Now that is a -5 troll.

I wonder if they have to re-boot the server after each update?

Sorry dude too late... DBZ and Poke'Mon have been around for long time now.
Should they call "The Galaxy Express 999"?

I would be happy if they could translate "All your base are belong to us" to English

Commodore Trivia what a way to kill karma.

D00D... Windows(tm) is a root kit!
I don't know about that. I only live 65 miles from the "local" UPN station and I can barely pick it up, I think it's about 5KW.
;-)
BTW, Your license will expire Apr 21, 2002. I hope you renewed.
Plus you better be spending some serious money on hardline to get an antenna up very high.
Nah... Just mount the transmitter on the top of the tower. Run power and controls up and transmit away. I did that with my QRP rig.
PS. I ain't posting my callsign on slashdot too many people know where I am as it is.
