    Although the scale might be different, humans pay in performance when a processor does not predicting correctly. Same goes for the keyboard.

    Also, there's always a human in the loop. Unless you are referring to artificial life forms.

    I just got a work-provided upgrade to the Bold 9780 (standard issue here and for the foreseeable future). I'm not worried for RIM but their tablet need to do better.

    If Microsoft can get certification, so can Google. If DOJ's requirements state FISMA is mandatory, they should allow them the chance to obtain this certification by a certain date.

    That's a certainty. Not sure MS will take over the iPhone 6 with their WP7. The iPhone 6 is due around then and WP 7 should be obsolete by 2015.

    So if they didn't buy Nokia, which they didn't, MS will fail? MS has to overtake both Apple and the band of Android sets. However, I think there's a large enough market for everyone with quality products. If Microsoft is makes a quality product, it will sell. My predictions at this time are not like IDCs which smell of insider influence from MS.

    To push the metaphor further, remember those beasts scorching the earth all need to be fed. They need more food everyday as they grow. The castle needs to be able to sustain itself, plus feed the beasts. So far, they have not been eating many apples.

    Steve Jobs hates noisy fans. I hear there's often unreasonable demands made to the hardware engineering group - remember the Apple ///? - which might be the cause of this little problem. A software patch to make the fan come on earlier would probably fix it.

    Each time a meteorite hits the moon, it shifts it slightly which might likely have a bigger impact on earth than human activity does (affecting tides and waves). Also dinosaurs were MUCH bigger that humans. Defecating Brachiosaurus were likely the first cause of global warming (being endotherms).

    Dude, anyone can play Angry Birds and be quite good at it. It's actually fun. However, playing something like Black Ops requires a lot more patience, skill and a few dedicated devices. I play Angry Bird on a smartphone when I'm in a line-up or waiting for an appointment. Suddenly, I'm more patient - provided my battery is cooperating. I do play console games as well but no longer have the patience to go against a 12-13yo who spends all his time trying to pwn his buddies who have nothing better to do.

    I can only suspect that haters need to justify why they didn't buy an Apple product. Personally, the iPhone 4 upgrade works great. The personal hot-spot seems to have a "sleep" feature when not in use. I presume it is to spare power.

    Those companies gave just as much to both sides. However, if a company's lobby gets the attention of the conservatives over the liberals, you'll know to whom the less obvious gifts were to. Also, doesn't the president get to veto those decisions?
