This is not Flame-Bait. I noticed several people singing the praises of rackshack.net for dedicated hosting solutions. However, when I review their price plans I can't find one for IIS or even Linux with chilliASP? Do they offer this?
I live in Seattle and when I moved here 10 years ago, the telephone poles were very cool. "Poles!" you say? Yes, you see, so many band posters would be stapled to poles that they would literally create a poofy half foot padding around the things. I found that to be charming in a community sort of way. A few years later, the local nazi District Attorney passed a law against the posting of ANY signs on public property. Bad for cutesy band posters good for losing the "Drop 30#s In 30 Days"
So where am I going with this? Well, recently I've noticed a HUGE increase in the number of these signs popping up everywhere! All kinds! What the hell is going on? Isn't this against the law. Don;t these people pay a fine? After several emails I find out there's a hiring freeze so the retired guy who fines these scum bags will not be replaced, ever.
So now we're stuck with no poofy telephone poles and plenty of "Work at Home" signs. Stupid local Gov't!
Come on! As far as sci-fi goes, the Star Wars films are utter tripe! The genre will never get the respect it deserves until audiences demand quality! Lucas ain't quality and never has been.
I'm pretty sick of people whose knee-jerk reaction to all things tech is, "Whatever isn't Microsoft." Particularly since AOL bought Netscape and the AOL/Time Warner merger. People still keep defending Netscape even when that piece of crap 6.0 was released. Even when 4.7 didn't fully support CSS standards. And now that AOL is spying on them, they still say "Hooray! It's not M$!" Wake up people! Spyware is spyware!
I totally agree. I believe what this extremely poorly written article is referring to is p2p users who don't know what they're doing and actually select to share out their entire drives. mIncredibly bad 'news' article from the BBC.
You have violated the Patriot Act by insinuating the FBI engages in anal fisting. Your computer will be confiscated and you may face criminal charges under a secret tribunal.
WAKE UP PEOPLE! No, this twerp is not the poster child for the next EFF.org case but part of that warrant refers to violation of the Patriot Act by placing pipe bomb making directions on a web site. If you really are a Patriot and want to live free then you don't let others' rights get trampled.
This story is in no way a "validation" of this supposed technology. I took it as one of those quirky people stories. I don't think you finish a serious news story with the words "...the most important Irish invention since Guinness". Jeez, don't be so concrete people.
Tuvalu Already Sold .TV to .TV Corporation

VeriSign Buys .tv

Get your history straight..TV Corporation came into existence in the domain name squatter rush and that is when the island of Tuvalu got paid. VeriSign just bought the.TV Corporation since it was a stupid frigging idea to begin with. But at least the 10,000 people of Tuvalu get a minimum $4 million per year.
This show is SO done it's got a dozen forks in it! And how the hell does Chris Carter expect to do an "X-Files Deux" WITH Mulder without some really bizarre, unbelievable excuse or "past experience" plot.
I loved the show, but the past two years FOX/Chris Carter have been like Norman Bates keeping this once lovely thing, propped up dried and dead in front of the window in an old rocking chair. Thanks for finally putting it in the ground.
Not to sound insensitive to the software security issue, but going down this path simply encourages massive efforts at hacking one camp's software to further one's own favorite.
Yes, people already do this, but to bring in the Gov't to be manipulated by these whims seems silly. Be responsible for your own security.
You include the spammer to let them know this is unacceptable and they will have to move on to the next ISP. Eventually the ISPs will add them to their bad guy list.
Ooooh, some little MarCom twit is gonna get her ass chewed for that misspelling. Think I'll get the ball rolling by sending them a friendly email pointing it out.
Checking that Web site (powerline.com) I don't think this company is close to having a product. Look at the company's site which owns the above URL, (powertrust.com) and I think you'll agree, this is vapor poop! (Yes, I like saying poop)

This is a VERY short list.

StirFry,
You don't think this is still April fools do you? Could you? I guess you could.

Truly trying to make up for lack of action in past trailers!
It's quite appropriate to place the ad for the trailer right before the X-Files. Star Wars is as much a "dead horse" as XF.

Personally I've had enough of collagen lip injected chickes on tv. I mean it's outta hand! One day they're just going to blow!
What do you mean by:
"What's the least it could do, use up some extra bandwidth?"

As evidenced by this thread, the kiddies at Symantec Customer Service don't know when to punt!
... it took almost five minutes to load the splash page.
