We see that every second episode. It was hawt to start with but now we are looking for what we haven't seen... Oh wait, I'm in Australia! *dwarfsoft run's and hides under the bed*
This is Australia, so the FDA means nothing over here:).
I'm pretty sure for things like Physio work there is an openness for individual Physios to use whatever tools they have available to assist. Not saying that they don't use tested devices over here, but perhaps for limited applications as were listed above this controller can be used instead of the more expensive device.
Having worked in the Healthcare system over here I have seen how some of the "Medical Devices" are put together. Usually the programming for the interface is so shoddy that it would not pass the QA that even most Commercial (yeah shoddy too) applications/devices do. Gaming devices, due to the nature of their use, are more likely to be thoroughly bug tested and more frequently used than most medical devices anyway. If there is an issue it will be found by the multitudes of users out there. Quite frankly, as was said earlier, Medical Devices are always overpriced with usually very little benefit gained for the price. If proper testing of all devices was done beforehand most of it would be denied installation, if the companies ever provided for testing before purchase in the first place (a lot gets sold on the spec sheet of what its supposed to provide, not on what it actually DOES provide).
Which comes to another thing about Medical personnel. If it breaks they don't report the issue because their time is "too important". This is an issue for the expensive medical devices which then fall outside of warranty or support contracts. Having cheaper alternatives that can be stockpiled is most definitely a step forward IMHO.
Absolutely. GTD is a great way managing tasks and projects. I use and customize GTD-PHP for managing mine. It's still in development but it works a treat.
My wife happens to think that I spend too much time on the computer, and as I work in I.T. at work I shouldn't need to touch a computer when I get home. My "hobby" and "work" are the same... apparently. My work is actually maintaining servers, and my hobby is programming. I wish there were a way to explain to her the difference... *sigh*
Isn't this the Mythical Man Month or something? Although from a programming perspective it was 1-2 days goes to a week, 1-2 weeks goes to a month. 1-2 months goes to a year. or something like that.
What do you mean? 30'C seems perfectly apt for Shorts.
It's probably not apt, however, to run outside naked first, but babies aren't prone to these kind of social stereotypes either. What it means is they aren't socially conditioned to follow orders or suggestions, but are content to interact with their world the way they see fit. We could simply draw a conclusion that children prefer to trust their own assessment of the environment instead of the parents assessment.
Maybe what this means is that children are born to trust nobody, but develop that trust over time through positive reinforcement. Every time you advise the child and you are correct you are seen as a more trustworthy source by your child.
I just want them to try. Having a domain with a catch-all account I just put @dwarfsoft.com and let them use that for a login. There is no attached real email account so they could never log in, even if they tried.
Also, having different passwords (randomly generated and stored in a secure database, or in memory if you are that freaky) definitely helps:)
Our users tend to use a PostIt taped to the monitor, just below the screen. But I suppose it's not like we handle confidential data (or Patient Medical Records) or anything... *sigh*
You think THAT is the issue... just wait until the Toe methods are patented... then the competing devices are ones that only men can use... and you don't wanna know what kind of diseases suddenly became worryingly common in those months. *shudder*
At school we had Stiffs Scale of Hardness, obviously based on the original Moh's scale ;)
Looks like we were too busy ogling to be able to think up a better name for the scale too
...
LISTER: High Five? I can do better than that! I can give you Fifteen.
You have to watch out for their exploding van. You can defeat them easily with A Dog and some Curtains.

So does this mean that you are equating Hitler to Adam... does this then make Herman Goering his Eve? *shudder*.

Maybe they just want you to all run a script that clicks on THEIR ads. Why don't you all go and click on mine instead ;)
