So by your definitions, murder isn't a kind of killing? And WTF is it ok to protect anyone except for yourself?

And then you actually say that trying to stop an unjust war (i.e. not a defensive one) is worse than actually killing people because of an unjust war?

Could you please provide some references to back up these bizarre interpretations of the Bible? I've had a lot of experience with Christians from across the spectrum and yet this is all new to me.

J&J wasn't asking for the Red Cross to not use the "red cross", they just wanted them not to be able to license it out (since it would reduce the value of their trademark) Except that their trademark has value largely because they copied it from the Red Cross.

Maybe it's more indicative of my own personality flaws, but I sorta wish I didn't have electronics in my life all the time. Realistically the vast majority of time I spent watching TV or surfing the web is wasted time. If I didn't have those always available to me for instant gratification I would spend more time on my less passive pastimes such as reading and studying and in the end I'm sure I would find that to be far more rewarding.

Instead I'm fairly lazy and so here I am yet again posting on slashdot.

One primary difference between email spam and postal spam is that email spam costs the provider a lot of money whereas postal spam makes it possible for the USPS to charge low rates for your first class mail. That's probably the reason why snail mail spam is impossible to avoid.

One difficulty is that some people like some of the unrequested mail they get. For instance when I new restaurant in my neighborhood I don't know about sends me a coupon I am always glad to give them a try. I do however wish I could opt out of the mailings. It's a terrible waste to get weekly fliers from three supermarkets that I never frequent.
