I've played with a lot of these boxes and the chances of having no security vulnerabilities at all is extremely low. In our testing we haven't actually found a box that we've been happy with the security of, except for little dedicated and extremely cut down boxes, but nothing of this type.
Disagree, they could just use a Windows box for this, as long as they keep it up-to-date with patches they'll be fine, right?
I'll answer that one - it's because the Cartel that sells them decides on the price. That way it is maintained artificially high. If diamonds were sold for their rarity value they'd be much, much cheaper.
Thirdly, the bomb was dropped to see what the effect on a city would be. It's OK testing in a desert, but the military probably wanted to see the real outcome "in theater".
Whatever judgment goes against M$ they simply tack the cost of it onto the next version of Windoze and their customers wind up paying for it. I don't really see how this would trouble M$ beyond the bad PR, and even that would be lost in all the other bad PR they are getting - over Windoze 7, for instance Link
Actually, in CoD I generally toss in a couple. Single ones get thrown back quite often. I figure one will get them while they're looking for the other.
So does this lead to TPB (and others) becoming largely redundant? If not right now, at least the writing is on the wall for them. I mean if you can search without TPB, then why would you need to go there, apart from maybe checking out their legal pages.
No problem. I'll get right on it just after: 1. MS Open up their source code. 2. I trawl through all the relevant code. 3. I know enough to understand it all.
I knew they wouldn't be lasting that long (ours was turned off some time ago) but now I'm unable to browse Usenet mp3 and lossless genres and d/l stuff that I thought might be interesting. I found so much cool stuff that way and even went to a few concerts (and bought CDs) because I found artists that I liked. I also recommended stuff to friends.
Ever since the ISP terminated access to binary groups I don't try out new stuff any more. I even terminated my GigaNews account as I just used it as a fill-in server. So I don't advocate anyone's music any more. Their loss, really. Not mine.
Hey, I want that Splashtop Toaster that they have in their video demo. Apparently it's a no-wait one. You just turn it on and up pops the toast, no waiting whatsoever!!
Cool! At least that's probably what the toast is. It's a bad analogy worthy of slashdot, even my windoze box boots faster than it takes to toast a couple rounds of bread. Or even a bagel. But I digress.

Not really. These are just the Ozzie octopuses.
You don't have to. You are redundant.

Here's more on the subject (pdf link)
Hang on a sec' - the Tea Party are from Ontario, Canada. What's all this noise about Boston???
I would say also...

I guess the Macbook Air is easy to return in that Manila Envelope, right?
There's the UAC, and the roads, public order and don't forget the aqueduct.
Why did you have to tell me that. Bang goes the rest of the week...

Yes! Reasonable rates for Weddings and Bar Mitzvahs.

Does it come complete with blond Swedish henchwoman too?
Things look a bit bleak for Windows 2008 then :(

Not any more they don't. This is the first major exploit that I know about for MS in several years that will enable trivial worm creation.
There, fixed it for you.

Cheer up. At least you don't get tased to death.
I just knew I was pouring gas onto the flames there...

Windows Update :( Not "off" but restart.
as they work in front of the scenes I should imagine.
Man, you'd think they'd know by now to register the domains before major announcements like this.
