Anakin doesn't know his father. It is obvious that the two generations (Anakin and Luke) were say gifted. It'd be reasonable to assume that Anakin's father had such a force as the next two generations. Who was he? Yoda?

I remember Anakins mother saying there was no father. It was an immaculate conception brought about by these miticlorians or whatever they are called. I read it as a way to make him seem more messiah like since he was supposed to be 'the chosen one'.

The general public is not as educated on the subject as you are. What about some elderly person who just got a computer as a present so that their grandkids can send email. Are they a nitwit because they click on a link that says cheaper prescriptions?

These spammers are predators and this action is a good thing. Just because you are too 'smart' to be fooled by these people doesn't make everyone else a nitwit. Self-righteous geeks really bother me. Remember, it's because most people aren't computer literate or even want to be that keeps us geeks working.

Hmm... you might want to brush up on your history a bit. The Vietnam War was begun by Eisenhower during the late 50's, right at the peak of the period I was referring to.

By the mid-sixties the American people began to grow weary of sacrificing our soldiers to support a meaningless war. That was but one of the catalysts that brought about the radical change.

Although many support the policies of the current administration I think people will begin to grow tired of our soldiers being sacrificed again for a war that we were lied and manipulated into supporting.

Then the pendulum swung back with a vengeance. I think the same will happen again when people realize where the policies of the current administration are taking this country.
