Forcing them to continue to use IIS would be punishment enough...

Just to play devils advocate, why not? I'm sure that people travelling back through time would understand the implications if they messed up the timeline in any way.
Man, what I wouldn't give to be able to have a few choices when it comes to high-speed internet. The cable company I go through basically has a monopoly on the high speed net service around here, and it doesn't look like that's going to change anytime soon...:(
I'm seriously considering getting a Sony Clie as my next handheld. I bought a Palm IIIc a year ago, and it gave me nothing but problems. I've also been hearing bad things things about the new Palm 5xx series. If you have an option to buy something like a Visor or Clie, buy one of those instead of a Palm.
The creator(s) of C++ tried to make it as backward-compatable with C as possible. But it's not 100% backwards-compatible.
For example, in C you didn't *have* to prototype your functions; the compiler would make some assumptions (which weren't always right:p). But in C++, you *must* prototype your functions.
That's just one example, I'm sure there are more though...
I have a feeling that this movie will be like the last Roger Moore 'Bond film; however, it will be Harrison Ford with the toothpicks holding his eyes open this time.
Gates referred to the new philosophy as "Trustworthy Computing" and called it the "highest priority".
For some reason, whenever I boot into Windows, I have a strange feeling that it's spying on me. That quote from Billie G certianly does not reassure me.
Heh, it's pretty cool how they actually did the Exoskeleton thing in Aliens. Apparently they got some big strong muscle dude to be on the 'inside' of the suit (no joke), Ripley just had to stand in the thing.
A simple solution to this dilemma: Never buy anything that has the word "Win" in it ;)
What do you think the default screensaver will be in Longhorn? ;)

As long as his experiments don't turn out to be as disastrous as the recent movie....
The fact that it can run a web server certainly makes me overlook the "screen is too dark" issue.
'Any' key? Where's the 'any' key? I see 'ke-tarl', 'esk', and 'pig-uh', but there doesn't seem to be any 'any' key!
Phew, all this computer hacking is making me thirsty.
So does this mean Dodge owns the rights to the word "Different"?

I'm surprised it won best Cinematography. All those '360 degree heli shots' really ruined the movie for me -- how many were there, 20?
I mean, I know it's a classic trilogy, but COME ON, no need to go overboard like that...
...that I wont need to get up to grab a beer anymore?
I assume you meant "File"...
Wow, he's got the moves. I bet he draws in truckloads of women with his animal magnetism.
I guess it's up to the author's of Gnucleus. It puts them in a very strong position in court.
DVD's are a storage medium. They are what someone makes them to be (ie. Movie DVD's, Software DVD's, etc).
Trying to classify Movie DVD's as software is sort of... dumb.
I don't think we'd hear Microsoft complaining :p
Heh, Visual C++ is not ANSI compliant.

How old is Harrison Ford now?

Yup.
Where's the any key?

And who would decide which software was 'secure' and 'non-secure'? What is secure to some, is totally insecure to others.
