    And given the bad blood between Bezos and President Zaius, that would be perfect. I can see it happening. I'd like to see it in Miami for my own selfish reasons but T.O. is a close second.

    Precisely. Living in SE Florida, I am pulling for them to wind up in Miami. Not because I want to work for them, but because it will soak up the otherwise cheap entry level engineers that would otherwise be pulling down the average salary in my market slightly to the north.

    Except that the people in Catalonia generally don't get offended if you speak Spanish to them. They do tend to be very appreciative if you make the effort to speak Catlun though.

    The fact that the word has changed in areas of Germany is true. I first started learning German in the mid 80's however, and the texts still used Fehrensprecher at that time. Probably because it was the US, and middle school.

    Add to that "Lay x% of developers in country of origin off every quarter for "performance reasons" relative to the rest of their team, even if they're more productive than the rest of the company. Team spends time "competing" rather than producing.

    Watch executive bonuses soar, and actual GOOD developers run to the fucking hills.

    The people in The Villages in Lake County are far from poor.

    Not a single fucking one of them can drive though. Even the ones that aren't as old as Methuselah. I don't miss Leesburg Florida a bit. I'm told it's much worse than it was 30 years ago now that that place has gotten so big.

    Regardless, they are making THREATS regarding interfering with your equipment, essentially saying that they will HACK you. They have no standing or rights to do so, and should be prosecuted. Copyright infringement is a civil manner. Hacking in this sense is a CRIMINAL matter and should be treated as such.

    I don't think that the market made of people who listen to things like "Saint Saens Symphony #3 " is part of their target demo. The quality is very very good for casual listening/ filling the house with music. It's not $1200/speaker high-end audiophile gear.

    Forced? Pretty much any cinema that wanted to make mad Star Wars bucks was going to do that. Guaranteed blockbuster. They want that first-week cash. There was no "forcing" about it.

  18. I consider random encounters with pan-handlers a giant negative in public transport. Around here it's not even random. You're basically guaranteed to be pestered by someone wanting money at both ends of your bus trip. And you're waiting a while for that late bus too.
